It should be 179.99 but is 72.99. They say they have had it since Wednesday 21 July, 2004, so my guess is its real. If they have the wrong product listed, I'm sure they would have fixed it by now, so I'm guessing they just havent noticed the mistake.

Their reseller rating is only 7.64, but then again, Amazon's is 7.26
 
Damn, this was on my Xmas list too, but at the much higer $179 price that Snapstream is asking .... too bad its OOS.

It doesn't say which Hauppauge card, and Beyond TV supports non-hardware encoding cards, so it's probably the $20 Hauppauge card, making this a warm deal at best.
 
Actually, because it is a SnapStream bundle, and they only bundle it with one card, it would have to be the Hauppauge WinTV-PVR250BTV. This is a good card and has hardware encoding. Also, the the beachaudio website says "and won't slow your computer," this infers hardware encoding.
 
Is this not the same thing? If so then the deal seems to be the normal price...

What makes one so sure that its not just the software? The wording used to describe this thing is directly from the snapstreem website, but that can mean absolutely nothing.

I ordered for the heck of it and here is the reciept i recieved in the mail, of which gives no indication that I will be recieving anything other than the software itself.

Of course thats if I recieve anything at all or if I dont cancel it first. Put it back up to -2

That's what I was thinking. But the thing is, they've had it for so long, you'd think they would have fixed it once customers complained. I'd ask them if it was wrong, but if it is right and the price is wrong I don't want to ruin my deal.
 
I just called them and as far as they can tell, it's everything. I tried getting a manufacturer sku, but all they have is a warehouse number....which was in the notepad file I just closed without saving
