I'm not planning on canceling (yet). The deal is too good to pass up as Appleseed said. Will keep you all updated.

Every one seems to have missed one very important thing. On top of website page it shows they are closed on sat. YOU will get burned if you buy from a place that is closed on sat. A BIG BEWARE. Mark my words.

Well, I ordered it when OP first posted it. As the site description "Get SnapStream Beyond TV 3 software, the Firefly PC remote and a powerful Hauppauge TV tuner card that produces a stunning picture and won't slow your computer.* Together these products turn your PC into an entertainment center." Obviously, it is the software and hardware package. Also, on their site, the photo shows the identical bundle as on Snapstream. So, I will take my chance on that. If I got a lemon, I will let you guys know about it and I will let my credit car (AX) know about it as well. 😀 Got to love AX generous return policy.

this is so tempting, let us know if it's $$$

that card + remote alone is worth getting this package IMO, the software is a big +

hmm, seems to good to be true, and yet ... this looks to be the hauppauge 250 card, which is now the old technology, been replaced by the 150 and (i think) 350 w/two tuners. maybe snapstream has marked it down to the resellers to move it out of stock? but then why wouldn't they do the same on their web site ... tempting, tho!

The SnapStream bundle does NOT come with the 250 card ... it comes with the Hauppauge OEM only Roselyn card which is based on a slightly different (Conexant BlackBird) reference design.

While the hardware design of this card is (theoretically) superior to the stock 250 design, Hauppauge hasn't done a very good job with the drivers and some people have had problems getting this card to work in their system. Keep this in mind when ordering this.

BTW, the Hauppauge dual tuner card is model PVR500 (or PVR500MCE). 350 is one of the oldest cards which use the same design as the 250 family, except it uses the older Conexant 23415 chip which does BOTH MPEG2 encoding and decoding in hardware.

I haven't ordered this, but I did get an email from them today saying:

"They should be coming in this week! The price is $72.99, currently."

We regret to inform you that we will no longer be stocking the BTV3 and your order has been cancelled. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. As we do not charge our customers unless orders ship, no charge was made to your card.

David Schloss
