I don't know, for TX its showing it as 36% hispanic if you click on hispanic then move over to Texas. This seems fairly accurate and not at all an underestimation.

Yes, 36% hispanic is accurate. But, you'll notice that it says TX is 82.6% white. That is not accurate.
This is because not all (or even most) hispanics consider themselves to be white. Thus: "non-white hispanic" (i.e. Mexican).

Ah I see what you are saying. But yeah thats a hard thing to distinguish. I mean there are many Mexicans that are Caucasians.
