Good stuff. You can also click on the race and see its own isolated result.

As I suspected CA has the biggest Asian population in US.

The stats for TX are skewed because most hispanics are included in the figure for "whites."

They should have a group "non-white hispanics" to get a better picture.

I don't know, for TX its showing it as 36% hispanic if you click on hispanic then move over to Texas. This seems fairly accurate and not at all an underestimation.

Hawaii is 39.9% Asian :Q

Pacific Islanders don't like to be called Asians, they want to be put in a separate category.

Yes, 36% hispanic is accurate. But, you'll notice that it says TX is 82.6% white. That is not accurate.

This is because not all (or even most) hispanics consider themselves to be white. Thus: "non-white hispanic" (i.e. Mexican).

Yea.. they're not exactly Asians... they don't look it either (from my own Asian view). They look more like Native Americans of the mainland to me.

I hadn't really thought about that figure including native islanders. Makes more sense now...

Edit: Scratch that thought. There is a separate category for Native Hawaiian.

Ah I see what you are saying. But yeah thats a hard thing to distinguish. I mean there are many Mexicans that are Caucasians.

Is this hosted anywhere other than msnbc? For some dumbass reason the IT department filtered MSN, which gets rid of MSNBC as well.

State forms in TX easy distinguish exactly as I have suggested. "Non-White Hispanic" is included on every list of selectable races I have seen.

Michigan's about 80% white but I bet if they separated the UP where I live from the Lower Peninsula, it'd be about 99.9%.

I don't know, but they did re-elect a mayor that was caught on video smoking crack and served prison time.
