If we abided by ethical principles, you wouldn't have half of the luxuries you have right now. Unfortunately, that is the truth. Captalism thrives on exploitation, not coorperation.
Why do you think we are playing Chinese men and women 35 cents an hour to make electronics that would cost $30+ an hour to make here.
Like it or not, ethics are only suggested. Why do you think we are the strongest nation right now? We didn't win land from the natives by living peacefully. Giving smallpox and typhoid laden blankets is certainly not ethical. Why do you think Microsoft is #1 or BP-Amoco is #1 or why Wal-Mart is #1? Ruthless competetion.
Sorry, but that is just how it is. Maybe in a kinder and gentler era, but so long as captalism rules, ethics is just as miscible as oil in water.
