Smoking bans...

i used to work with a power supply engineer who was a 2 pack a day smoker,
with no apparent desire to quit. an older guy. seemed like he did some of
his best work when he was smoking.

i think indoor smoking was banned in Silicon Valley in the early 80's. at least
in engineering labs. i always thought the best policy would be to put all
the smokers in the same area, and give them exhaust fans next to
their desk.

Occupational Health and Safety and the rights of workers trumped private ownership as their employees were exposed to health hazards

IMHO, this is the only good argument against smoking in bars.

Me too, plus it never really gets below 50 degrees here in the winter and never gets much above 85 here in the summer.

Fargo, ND. Out of all the places in the world we get the highest amount of temperature fluctuations. -30 with a -60 windchill and 100f in with 85% humidity...
