Hasn't your mother taught you not to spread rumors... especially when you didn't even bother to check out for yourself.

The rebates are posted on the MicroCenter website (search there under: Rebate Center on the left) and there is no indication that they are valid for only one store.
In fact, they should be valid for online purchases as well - if you can find them on their site.

Show me one thing from MicroCenter that indicates otherwise and I'll edit my first post down to a blank.

EDIT: For anyone concerned, go to the original thread on FW and follow the rumor mill - as of now, one guy in one store said he thought it was a mistake.
UPDATE: at the very same store as mentioned above the rebate printed out with one buyers receipt - so much for the rumor mill.
 
Wow, I really want to get in on this? Anybody know when these are going to be available online again? Or can you call one of the stores and have them ship it to you?

It might be posted on the microcenter website but I'm pretty sure these are just the forms for that Ohio launch, no?
 
Not the best Xbox 360 deal, but indeed smoking hot!
The rebate form just says Microcenter so if I wanted a Xbox 360 I would still take my chances.
 
I saw this yesterday. I was gonn apick one up, but the I played that ping pong game on the 360 and I said..."nevermind"😉
 
I live 15 miles from a MC - in Ohio. If someone wants me to pick one up for them PM me and we'll arrange something.

I didnt care for the ping pong game myself btw.

That's extactly what I just did. I picked one up this afternoon.
 
Picked this up from the MC in Tustin today. Sign on the door says the ad is a mistake and the rebate isn't available until sunday (the day their game center opens) but i bought one anyway and the rebate printed out at the register. Rebate clearly states 11/13-12/3 and says nothing about being store specific. My guess is they just don't want people to clean them out this week before their game center opens.
 
Went to Microcenter in Fairfax VA. I didn't even need to ask about the rebate. The guy on the sales floor told me about it as soon as I walked near the 360's at the back of the store.

Him - "Hey, are you here for the $100 off Xbox360 deal?"
Me - "Umm... I guess so."
Him - "Come on over, I'll hook you up. Do you want the $30 one year service plan, the $50 two year plan or no plan?"
Me - "Uh... The one year I guess."
Him - "Cool, let me walk you to the register. You should pick up Gears of War. That game kicks ass. Oh and Project Gotham 3 if you like racers".

He just kept talking to me the whole time while I was being rung up at the register and getting the rebate. I just nodded my head every once in a while. He told the cashier to print out three receipts to make sure I at least had one.
 
Picked one up in Santa Clara California, They had about 300 left. The guy there told me they were selling one about every 10 minutes or so. They didn't have many games I had to find Gears of War somewhere else.
Another 400+ buxx down the drain thanks to hot-deals.
