Weird, my roommate's switch is coming from Orange County, CA and my switch is coming from Pennsylvania, but they're both going to northern California!!

Yes they were the 2 plus the 2 free ones. I ordered em like wee morning hours on last Friday. Yes 2 of them going on E*ay as I only need 2 hehe. Flame me if you must but I want 2 FREE ones after e*bayers pay for the other 2 :D

uggg buy.com just burnt my second account. They canceled my order because they ran out of supplies, and refuse to let me re-order another set for the same deal... It seems there was a typographical error that should have said "while supplies last" or that's what their story is now... It looks like a class action suit may be the only way to solve this.

Seen Buy.com's stock prices lately? It's not a pretty thing. I was one of the unlucky people that didn't get the monitor, so I'm pretty sure I will also not get my switches. I don't really care if they cancel my order, but I did use a $35 gift certificate on it. I
m sure it is going to be fun to get that credited back to my account. Personally, I like Buy.com, and I'm going to hate to see them go out of business.

I bought with the 2 for 1.. just spoke with their cust service.... oops sorry error was made only shipping one but thanks, ..... I am tired of this from buy.com and filed a complaint with CA Attorney General... maybe they'll act.. not holding my breath though.

OK, I just called Customer Service and asked about my order, and of course it's on backorder. But I specifically asked if I would still get the Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer and I was told YES. I'm going to call back in about 45 minutes and see if I still get the same answer.

Also, my CC has not been charged...as of midnight last night.

So here's my story. I just received two of my four switches today - which was expected. So I called the 800 # at the top, and I spoke to Matt in CS. I said hey, where's my shiz, you guys have my money. He said hey, it's backordered, but you'll get it. So I said hey, why was I not notified that it was backordered? I said hey, I was tracking it online, and why does the shiz say that the order has been completed if the shiz is backordered? He said hey, he don't know. I said hey, lemme talk to a supervisor, and he said hey ok. So I spoke with Sherry in RS (Resolution Services) and she was hella nice. She said hey, so here's the deal, it's actually a typographical error, but we don't know what's going on yet. She said that they've sent numerous complaints and whatnot to corporate office about this issue, and that I should call back on Monday to see what the dillyo.

I'm not surprised that my switch didn't ship, but I'm really pissed that I wasn't notified in any way of the situation or whatever. That's kind of rude considering they have my money but I don't have my product.

haha, wow, looks like their CS speak the same "hey" Language. Also I noticed the Johnw00 thing this morning, he said 2 were going to auction, looks like he made a little exageration or maybe a big one when he said he recieved all 4 switches. You be the judge.

This letter is to express my feelings on the current rage from fellow deal searchers. As you might know, there is a lot of questions floating around dealing with the SMC 16 port switch deal of buy one, get one free. Well for most of us, this deal is not the case.

I found out about this great deal, and ordered the one switch to get one free switch. My credit card was maxed for this month, so I had to send a money order. Monday afternoon when it was snowing in N.J, I drove to the post office to purchase a Money Order. Then I drove to UPS to send my payment via 2 day air. Lets do some math.

Money Order cost $1.00
Est in gas spent $3.00
UPS cost $10.00
------------
$14.00 total

I called Tuesday night to confirm the deal was still good, and was told yes. After then being told by my fellow peers, deal searchers, that they were only getting just the one swich, I called again today, Wednesday to ask again about this deal. I was told this deal is no longer vailed, in fact my customer support rep told me it was a computer error! I then expressed my feelings of having to pay to send the money order in for this deal, and my rep did not show any feelings nor did she respond. I then canceled the order.

Not only am I out of the deal, im also out of the money it cost to send you my payment the order.

Lets face it, this was not, is not a error. You are dealing with a product that most of the buyers have some knowledge about computers. These customers do not accecpt the fact this was a error, and most of them know better. One of the reasons for this is because we know what goes on. The big guys tells the reps to say this or that so it does not look as bad for the company. Example, if you ever had DSL installed, you know what I mean.

Get your act together Buy.com. I recommend you send a mass email about what happen, and what will happen. You have yet to do this, even small retailers would do this. First the hitachi deal, now this. Im no lawyer, but im sure this could hold up in court since this ?deal? was posted in 2 spots. Not only that, but some people did get their free switch!

As for me, I expect you to do the right thing. If you do not honor the deal. I?ll still be back. I would expect you to pay me for my troubles of having to send a money order when you send me a refund check. If this deal is still good, please un-cancel my order. I have bought from buy.com many times. I am a very large home purchaser. It would not be the best thing to anger me more. Buy.com is where I look first. I plan on spending close to a $1,000 in the next month or too. Im sure many other places would want my bussiness if you do not.

It would even make things go smoother if a supervisor contacted me via phone to let me know what is going on. It would make me feel a lot better and know that buy.com wants me as a customer.

Got my 1 fùcking switch today. Called buy.com and they just said they would put my name on a list to contact.

You should have heard the way the cs talked to me too, she said "our executives are deciding as to honor the deal or to call it a missprint."(not exact words but close). Thats pure bullshittery. She just reinforced that the typo is an excuse, though we all know it is.

She put my name on the contact list so I can see whats up in 7-10 days. It best be sooner then that cause I need the switch this weekend.

EVERYONE CALL IN AND COMPLAIN TO BUY.COM. THAT IS HOW WE WIN. THE MORE COMPLAINS THE MORE CONSERN THERE IS FOR BUY.COM. WE WILL ONLY WIN IF WE STAND UNITED, COME AND PHONE WITH ME!

Bidding DID take place on JohnW001's SMC switches, but he cancelled the auctions minutes before their legitimate end. As a reason, he gave, "Damaged cannot sell." Perhaps the real damage involved the high bids at the time (minutes before the end of the auctions) of $62-$65.

And to top it all off, he requested to become an unregistered member of eB-y after this fiasco, so that legitimate users would have no chance of leaving negative feedback (only a registered member can received feedback of any kind). Be very wary of dealing with this dishonest trader.
