That was horrible compared to yesterday. I had to reset it to disable Google fit on the phone.

Yesterday it was off the charger at 6am. I got home at 3am and it still had 30% left. Screen always on.

Here is today's usage so far.

moto 360 with wifi off and moto fit off but google cards on. left the house at noon today. it's 9pm and I am at 75% battery left. didn't use the watch a ton but definitely a decent amount. pretty impressed with the battery life so far.

That's also really good. I mess with mine a lot and I'll sometimes reply to texts on it too. But that sounds like way better battery than last year's model. It may even be better or on par with the huweii.

I took mine off the charger at 8am yesterday and by 3 am I think I had around 51% still maybe less.

that sounds good as well. oh I forgot to mention I have the screen on always. and use the ambient light sensor for brightness.
 
moto 360 here, I don't leave the screen on because under the lights at work you can't see it anyways. Not using wifi for obvious reasons, just Bluetooth all damn day and after a full workday it never comes back below %50. I have it paired with a LG Flex.
 
there is definitely a lack of apps for Android Wear. The only hardware issue is that when you go to look at your watch, it doesn't always turn on by sensing wrist movement. Anyone else have this issue?

I turned off tilt to wake but kept wrist gestures on. Mine was overly sensitive with tilt to wake. As soon as I lift my wrist the screen would come on.

I gotta say the voice recognition on this thing is amazing. so accurate. before I texted

"i just sent you this message from my watch. Like A Boss."

I simply raised my voice to say Like A Boss and google capitalized it for emphasis. freeking amazing.
 
update: getting the watch to turn on with the tilt to wake is a certain movement that I am now getting used to. wasn't 'lifting' it as much as it needs to wake up. so far so good. I don't see this thing turning on when it isn't supposed to - I keep peeking. Really getting to like not having to get my phone out to see messages.

with the voice recognition so good sending texts is so easy. even sent one today walking out on the streets of Jersey City - just made sure nobody was too close to me lol while I was talking into my watch like James Bond.
 
One thing I've noticed after using a smartwatch for a bit now is that the ambient watch face is way more important to me than the active watch face. When I'm looking for other watch faces to try, the most important thing to me is how it looks in ambient mode, because that's what the thing will look like 90% of the day. The active watch face gets about zero use from me, because if my smartwatch is being used it means I'm looking at notification cards or replying to texts/emails.

I find this interesting because it seems like many watch face designers put so much emphasis on the active watch face and often neglect the ambient mode, when in reality the active watch face gets so little view time compared to the ambient one.

Also tying into this is the realization that AMOLED is 100% the way to go. The Moto 360's ambient watch faces look pretty bad compared to Huawei's ambient watch faces.

Which is why I use the stock Increment face.
 
So mine has a different ambient face for each watch face I choose. There are also more on the play store. But I don't feel like they should charge for them. They aren't really anything special.

You can initiate it if you are looking at the text, however chances are the txt has faded out and if you want to reply without hunting the card down again simply tap the watch and say ok google, then say "text "Name in contacts", "message here".

Thanks! How is the voice recognition? Is performance decent without putting the watch right up to your face?

Sorry for all the questions. My moto360 2015 has been delayed and so I've been living vicariously through you guys.

A few reasons:

1. The smaller number leave more space for notifications. Larger watch faces force that minimize notification thing which then requires action to see the notification.

2. The smaller numbers leaves more space for the flair that makes Android Wear so cool- such as the backgrounds for certain notifications or people's face on a hangout message. This matters less on a bigger watch like the 360. Also the Increment face smoothly transitions from its background to the flair background, while many of the other faces need the notification completely pulled up to switch out the background which isn't as pleasant of an experience. Transitions are nice.

3. I have experienced a decent amount of crashes with Wear since day one and they are less frequent with the default watchfaces.

On my huweii you don't need to have it super close as long as you speak in a moderate tone.
 
moto 360 did well yesterday. from 11am to 11pm off the charger and on the wrist and ended up with like 60% battery life. was pretty cool to use it to change and pause google play music tracks as well, although there could be more features within the app, it's a nice start.
