I went ahead and ordered the steel mesh band huweii model from Google play. Should be here first week of October. We will see how it does. I have small wrists so hopefully it fits.

Edit: Google play address was set to my ex's address so I had to cancel. Now I'm waiting for it to go back in stock.

moto 360 shipping is delayed

"We experienced technical difficulties with our ordering and shipping system. We are working hard to get your device to you as soon as possible, and we will send you an updated estimated shipping date as soon as we can."

I ordered the huweii finally from Google play store. Mesh steel band version. Hopefully it will fit since I have small wrists. If it doesn't or I don't enjoy it Google offers a 14 day full refund policy. Says it is estimated for delivery Oct 1-5th.

Awesome! Please let us know what you think about it!

It looks like most of the current wear watches have inaccurate heart rate sensors. I guess I will wait for Gen 3 to see if that is fixed.

Cool stuff, please post your impressions after using it! I really want to get the Huawei watch, but I'm waiting for Google to get around to implementing NFC support into Android Wear. For now I have an el-cheapo G Watch I snagged for $40 that let's me test out most Android Wear stuff.

My watch shipped tonite. It should be here Wednesday which means I probably have to work from home since its FedEx and I may need to sign for it.

Mine is here but I had it held at the FedEx office a few minutes from my house. I'll post my impressions with some pics tonite.

Are any of these watches available in store yet to check out? I want to see them before any purchase. I'm still leaning toward the S2 Classic at $350 and it's supposed to be at Best Buy on Oct 2. Is the Moto 360 already there?

I'm liking my huweii watch a lot. Looks great, screen is crispy clear and its not laggy at all. I had it all set up but I messed up somehow and now says no contacts found. It showed them before but I don't know what I did. All my notifications come in though.

I like their built in fitness app. Let's you input you info such as height, weight, age and set a record for how many steps you want to achieve and monitors it.

Heart rate monitor works without issues although I can't say how accurate. There are over 40 watch faces to get from the store and about 10-15 on the watch itself to use.

I have to figure out why my contacts won't sync anymore but they did when I first set it up. Overall I like it quite a bit the screen really is nice. The mesh strap fits comfortably and is easy to adjust.

Packaging is premium too, came together very nicely. I'll take some pics tomorrow and post them.

At my local best buy, Moto 360 2015 is out on display, Huawei watch is not (stock is very limited as well, I got the last one). I'd imagine the Gear S2 will be out on display with the rest of Samsung products.

Here are some pics of mine. Off charger at 6am and it had 15% when I got home around 7:30pm.

Not sure what's draining battery, wish I could uninstall the Google fit app from the watch as huweii has their own tracking suite. Brightness set to 2, gestures and screen always on.

Tomorrow I'll try screen always on to off.

Think you answered your own question.
Well I'm reading on xda about others with screen always on and they are getting way better battery life than I am with higher brightness settings. I don't have fit on my phone so I don't know what is causing it to drain. I do have WiFi off too like they do so I'm not sure.

What I did was a factory restore then I tapped on the fit app and turned it off. Now it says on the watch when I click it that fit tracking is off. I also turned off tilt to wake but kept wrist gestures on and I'll try screen off tomorrow to see how it goes. Turned WiFi off as well.

My battery seemed to get better with the Google fit app disabled on the watch. I use the huweii suite anyway.

Off charger at 6am yesterday and by 3am today it was at 31%.

Brightness to 2, screen always on, WiFi off, ambient mode on. Several notifications coming through and a bit of navigation too last night.

Nice - in some pics it looks a bit...glossy. Is that the camera? How does it look in person compared to a decent watch?

------

Saw the Gear S2 at Best Buy - with all the demo software on it, you could hardly figure out how the regular watch would work. The rotating bezel does feel great and is very intuitive without ever blocking the screen. Performance seemed snappy as rotating through apps was much faster than my first gen Moto 360. It's also a very compact watch - almost a touch feminine.

The side buttons were very stiff - not sure if that was a demo issue or not. I expected a little bit of 'give'. Also when on a screen, I think to go back you had to click the top button which I didn't like. Swiping right didn't take you back like it does for Android Wear devices which I found a bit unintuitive. In fairness this might be my fault as I was churning through the watch for all of 60 seconds.

Unfortunately they didn't have the Classic which is the one I'm actually interested in. I do hope the side buttons are more tactile and will need to play around with the UI more before I decide.

In person it looks very crisp, mostly very shiny/blingy. It looks luxurious to be honest.

The gear looked cool but like you said it seemed like a women's watch. If they made it metal with a metal band it would be cool. But I'm not a fan of their OS.
