That would be the show; that's what is annoying about it.

it might have something to do with the fact that clark needs to tell lana everything so he and her can get their jollies on...

Yep. They try to build up the tension and it just sucks. If Clark had the balls he could have just kissed Lana at the end - it seemed like the right moment. The Clark vs Lex buildup kind of sucks too - some weeks they make up at the end of the show, some weeks it's just like "blah"

As I said earlier,

its the forever non-progressing story line. It's same exact drama over and over again with a different event.

i like it.

i disagree that it isn't developing. it is slow but it is developing. i like the dynamic between Luthor and Kent. i like the portrayal of Luthor as a good guy stuck in a bad situation. I like how Jonathan Kent's resentment of Lex is driving Lex to the dark side. The irony here is that Jonathan hates Lex because he went to Lionel for help in Kent's adoption.

I really like the Lex character the best in this series.

Here is one big flaw in that storyline:

Pete remember what he was going through when he had the parasite inside of him, but Chloe didn't? WTF!?!

Prolonging the show aside, did anyone see the way Chloe was working that lollipop?

Damn shes hot.

And I agree, Lex has the best character in the show.

However, I still say its non-progressing. It's just that a different event occurs that plays on the same drama....

It's good. It's just frustrating to watch, because Clark is so limited in his actions by that which allows him to perform all of his feats (i.e., his background).

yes, i couldnt agree more. Although I also do agree that the show is a bit repeatative, as far as love swings go, the story is in fact moving on. More and More Lex is finding out the secret, its at a 1 mph crawling pace, but it is moving.

THe love story is what is holding the entire show behind. But like Gr1mL0cK said, its the exact drama over and over again cause if it were solved in the end, there wouldn't be that many viewers. I myself don't mind the prolonging same drama event, since I'm the type of viewer that feels is usually placed in that situation and for some reason enjoy it, but there are some who just get frustrated and turn off the show.

just my thoughts. great show tonight though. I never miss my smallvilles :)

danny~!

What Clark needs to do is step up to Lana, rip his shirt off and say in a deep manly voice...

"Iron my shirt, woman!"

That will show her!

This show reminds me of ST: Voyager in a way. It has such promise, interesting characters, and occaisionally delivers, but most episodes are a rehash of the same old plot, with the same old outcome, and leaves potential that is just never fulfilled.

I think the lame love plot is what the writers threw in there to appeal to the female audience. Other than that I really like the show. The different characters all play a different role in each episode and sometimes they clash.
