The SSD is the only single piece of technology that will give you greater then 100% improvement over what you currently have you dolt.
Actually he needs a 5400rpm Western Digital Green series to match his obsolete socket AMD system.

To all prior posters to this post, I'd just want to know whether or not to hold off on SSD drives for now due to pricing and the PhysX card was a random idea which I doubt I'd go forward with.
Sorry I'm boring everyone with film babble so I'll kindly shut the fuck up now and stop posting in my own thread.
Actually, instead of wasting my fucking money on the current vastly overpriced SSDs, might as well go for CrossFire.
It was a random piecemeal thought which I assumed I needed a dedicated card to handle PhysX instead of driver hacking. A pipedream without the video game.Explain to me how SSDs are overpriced again? $130 buys you a 60GB SSD which is over 10 times faster than an HDD. That's barely more than the PhysX card that were were considering an certainly less than a competent CFX setup.
For the SSD, I'm just gonna say fuck it and keep selling stuff on eBay until I get one. Perhaps parts from the computer I'm currently using after the one I'm building is finished? Or would it be more feasible to sell it on CraigsList? As a complete computer? Only because being in the same state as a NewEgg shipment center adds tax along with shipping charges.SSD prices aren't going to drop that much. If you want to wait until they are at HDD prices, you'd have to wait a few decades.

So can the 4GB RAM Patch actually be beneficial for games since I'll be having 8GB RAM? Yes I'll be using 64-bit operational system deluxe Mk. Eleventy.
I have zero idea until I use it when my build is finished. I have discs of Windows 95 and 98SE laying about. Can I use them when doing VMWare for the older games which I own which Windows 7 have problems with? You'd likely get more out of it (and less hassle) by selling it as a complete machine.
I don't know of any generic patch that will actually help a game take advantage of more memory.

Will the Dolphin emulator run smoothly on this build? I'll start asking now if x program/emulator/application/DEWICE will work on this now.
Thank you again for calling me out on my shit for going to get an AMD CPU instead of Intels Sandy Bridge. If you want me to have one so fucking bad why don't you gift me the money so I can buy both the motherboard and CPU for it? Otherwise, shut the fuck up about it.VMWare has some issues with 3D games, but 2D games should be fine.
Dolphin will probably run ok-ish on the AMD, but not nearly as well as it would on a Sandy Bridge.

OH YEAH WAIT A FEW MORE MONTHS FOR BULLDOZER! What the fuck kind of bullshit is being run here?
So sorry, the PhysX card was a completely random idea and no I wasn't going to buy it. Having a conniption fit I was even considering it? That's your problem and not mine.Phenom II X6 + 2x PCIE Motherboard = at LEAST $320
i5 2500 + P67 Motherboard = at MOST $340
Lets prove that out and prove how STUPID YOU ARE BEING (since you've already made it personal!)
Phenom II X6 1100T BE - $229.99

Oh... well... Sandy bridge nearly doubles performance and lowers the price... You apologized for your bullheadedness and impatience in your decision to pay the extra $$$ on the PhysX card. It seems to me you don't do proper research on anything before you try to back it up with BS.
You claim that we need to leave AMD alone and help you with your build, but since AMD has taken Intel's place as the overpriced competitor, we can't leave it alone. It is the second biggest mistake you're making with your build (after 9800GT PhysX). If you want us to stop helping you spend your money wisely so much, stop posting replies...
Oh, and in case you missed the post of the benchmark EARLIER in the thread...
