Slow PSN? How to speed it up!

I just installed my Linksys CM100 modem that I ordered and can confirm that my PSN speeds are fast WITHOUT privoxy. More details in the OP.

Bumping this for people who either forgot or missed it. No need to complain about slow demo downloads (ex: Infamous)!

I really need to try this. I'm on a motorola surfboard modem and my 20/5mbps connection absolutely crawls when downloading from the PSN. Actually, it's slow on xbox live too.

I can pull down over 1mb/s consistantly on my laptop via wifi, but downloading off either network is less than 100kb/s.

Games play fine, but damn, I don't even want to download demos or movies. Since I'm slow on both networks could my ISP Cox Cable be throttling me?

I know it's been over a year, but I'm going to bump this. It seems like a lot of people have been complaining lately about the PSN being slow.
