Hence, it became a political rally. Never let a good crisis go to waste, the new libertroll credo.
This is like a sick joke. Remember when Republicans successfully invoked 9/11 to go to war in Iraq?

Hey, no worry, it's just the start of the 2012 Presidential campaign! The new slogan rolled out for the adoring masses! You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.Wrap your pea brain around this ...it isn't the slogan, it's that they were sloganeering, and passing out tee shirts, and pamphlets at a memorial service like it was a high school pep rally.
TV exposure, surrounded by adoring brain washed college kids, a captive audience, air force one and a "prayer" by a Native American/Mexican - priceless!
Both parties are guilty of exactly the same thing. It's neither parties 'fault' it's just what the political landscape has become in the States, and it's fucking wrong.
People are correct or wrong, left or right, liberal or conservative. In reality, nothing is that black and white.
Both parties are so opportunist that they have to take every opportunity to get a leg up on the other, it's tragic.
Kind of makes one wonder how the hell we ever managed to become such a great country in the first place, doesn't it?
How about you wrap your pee brain around your cognitive dissonance?

I don't recall hearing any republicans comparing Katrina to Haiti, except in regards to how the media blamed Bush for Katrina but not Obama for Haiti, even though there is a demonstrable failure of the federal government to get aid to Haiti in a timely manner while Katrina was entirely the fault of the local (democrat) government.
This. I'm willing to believe that this was an honest attempt at healing and not purely politics, but I think it was wildly inappropriate at a memorial service.Wrap your pea brain around this ...it isn't the slogan, it's that they were sloganeering, and passing out tee shirts, and pamphlets at a memorial service like it was a high school pep rally.
That's a very astute observation.Well.. I'm saying this as an unbiased third party. I'm Canadian and I love the USA.
I think that it was an amazing country all the way until the end of the cold war you guys were the shining beacon of what everyone wanted to be.
Now.. it's everyone trying to cut eachother in the throat to get to the top of the pile. I just think that because of the methods everyone is using to get to the top, the view won't be so pretty when you get there.
Amazing you see a parallel between the run up to the Iraq invasion, and the sloganeering of a memorial service.
~snipped~
You missed a couple of colors. Just one, maybe two at the most...You really don't get it do you? Republicans are latching on to this talking point that the left's policy is to "let no crisis go to waste". Do you not fucking understand that the epitome of not letting a crisis go to waste was using 9/11 to justify the Iraq war?
LET NO CRISIS GO TO WASTE = IRAQ WAR 9/11 FAKE CONNECTION
LET NO CRISIS GO TO WASTE = IRAQ WAR 9/11 FAKE CONNECTION

Agreed, but at least Obama admitted that vitriolic political diatribes had nothing to do with this tragedy even as he attempts to capitalize on it. That was something. I suspect that this tee shirt thing is simply another crisis that shouldn't be wasted (like the Wellstone "memorial") but it might have been innocent and well-meaning, if very crass.
Hence, it became a political rally. Never let a good crisis go to waste, the new libertroll credo. The behavior of the MSM, leftie bloggers, the university, and that flamebag sherrif durring the horrific event have been so beneath contempt that there are no adequate words to describe it. These people are worse than everything that they claom to hate. Taking advantage of this tragic situation the way they did reduces them to the lowest form of humanity; they're as bad, or worse, than the Westboro Baptist pigs.
My heart goes out to the victims, their families, and the hurting people of AZ. That should have been the ONLY thing that people should have thought about right after this happened.
Are you reading a different thread xj0hnx?
Are you?
Thread title
slogan t-shirts at a memorial service? are democrats just trolling republicans now?
You responded to my post about the "no crisis go to waste" trope and said that's not what we're talking about. I gave you 3 examples from THIS THREAD. How does your response make sense?
I see now, you're just trolling.
The statement about never letting a crisis go to waste was from Rahm Emanuel, Obama's Chief of Staff. When you state that your policy is to use crises to advance your political agenda, don't be surprised if people suspect you of using a crisis to advance your political agenda. You responded to my post about the "no crisis go to waste" trope and said that's not what we're talking about. you responded by accusing bush of doing the same - though in your defense, you did use a large font and repeated the accusation in various colors.

A couple of things come to mind, such as returning the Fairness Doctrine (by which government controls what can and cannot be said) and gun control. Both have been raised by Democrat lawmakers in the wake of this tragedy. Both will continue to be pushed using vague insinuations that conservative vitriol caused this shooting even though we know it most certainly did not.

No, I didn't, I quoted your picture of a tee shirt, and you called me a hypocrite, and then I explained what my problem was with the sloganeering, and then you started off on your tangent about something other people have posted, pay better attention.
Do you not remember your own posts? You were responding to me responding to FerrelGeek using that stupid "crisis" talking point:
