SLI 6600GTs vs X850XT

someone on another thread said something about Nvidia has special features....something like HDR or something. are they worth giving up better performance?
 
not really. the xl is about 5-10 fps slower, but the x850xt really shines in higher resolutions. plus, the extra clock speed helps out a bunch. would've bought a x850xt if i had another $400 in addition to the 350 i spent on my xl, lol. 850xt still too overpriced for my tastes

So why do you have SLI 6600GT vs. x850xt and then the poll compares the 2 companies vs. one another in general?
 
That is a stupid poll though. If u were doing company vs. company, bring the best that each has to the table. A X850XT PE vs. 2 6800Ultra in SLI. WOW. Now that would be a pimp setup.
 
Matrix, the difference between the 2 cards is much larger than 4-5%

Now unless you play opengl games (or doom 3 all the time), x850xt is just faster.
