Hummm, I wonder if they'll have more than 4 people doing the voice acting. That killed Oblivion for me, I would have rather just read text than to hear every single character have 1 of 2 voices. Oblivion had the worst voice acting ever.

I don't think the voice acting was terrible, but yeah, they just had way too few voice actors considering the range of races and number of characters.

I'm going to be the first to say, That I call bullshit on the idea that Skyrim is going to look any different on the PC. Yeh a little AA here and there might make thinks a little shinier and polished, but I don't see anything other than that.

Oh dear god, from that link:

"We're all big Apple fans," explained Lafferty, "so slick users interfaces is one of the things we really wanted to do, make it real natural and polished. You're gonna be in that menu a lot."

LOL

EDIT: i just saw that footage, the female npc voice is pretty much recycled from oblivion as far as i can tell.

Call me pessimistic, but I was a bit D: when I heard them pull out the 'radiant AI' term (although better than the last version 🙄) in one of the gameplay vids I seen.

The AI is laughable same old stupid shit, did you see the footage in the cave where he killed a bandit with an arrow, and the guy who the bandit was talking to just stood there, and didn't even flinch.

Now that you mention it, that is a bit of a downer about the AI. 🙁 Of course, there's an upside to this as I'm currently enjoying doing such assassination mowing down with my bow in Oblivion, so I'm divided on the issue. Still, the bows are supposed to be less nerfed in Skyrim compared to Oblivion.

Oblivion looked just as nice relative to the time it came out. Game was too dumbed down, which killed it a bit. As long as they go with the Fallout feel, it'll be good.

Yeah this is the number one thing I'm worried about, followed by general "dumbing down" in the quest for mass appeal.

I don't much care about the interface. I'd like it to be brilliant, but it would take a pretty bad UI to keep me out of a good RPG.

Creation Engine, it was revealed some time ago.

I wonder if a certain . . . someone from a company owned by Bethesda had a hand in developing the engine.

Regardless, I'll stick to my standard rule of "get the complete/platinum/gold edition after they releases all the horse armor and it's on sale for $20 on Steam" but it looks cool nevertheless!
