I never understand how people "lose control" of their cars. Unless you are speeding, drunk or sleeping at the wheel, how do you all of a sudden go offroading. It's not like highways have curves like a track.

Different people have different oppinions about cars. Some see it as a means to get from point A to point B while some see them as status, or thrills. I drive a civic and probably couldn't be happier with it (unless it was boosted) even if I made as much as he does.

What? How has The Sixth Sense NOT turned a profit? Where's your source?

LOL. He could have died, and we are all more concerned about his personal vehicle than his welfare (I sure was:)).

Yeah - it's hilarious until it actually happens to you: I took our dog to the groomer yesterday morning, then went to do some shopping myself. My dad came home for lunch while I was gone, and called my mom all freaked out because his dog was gone. Mom said he never said a word about me during the entire call :p

Nate

You usually come back after leaving the property unattended -- and I assume you do it pretty often, right?

Does the dog take day trips often?

How did he get 10 years older in 3 years? Holy sh*t...

duh. time warp.

According to the facts it was 7 years ago and he played a 9 year old. An 11 year old pretending to be 9 isn't much of a stretch.

No, I guess not. He actually stays in the house all day, especially when it's this hot. But this is also kind of a running joke in our family - if it came to choosing between us and the dog, we'd be the ones out in the street :p

Hit a patch of ice
Hit a patch of water
Have bald tires
Have the wheel slip from your hand in a turn
Hit some gravel
drop something/spill something and get distracted

do you really have that bad of an imagination that you can't think of these things?

One time I was driving in Vegas, returning the rental car, made a left turn at an intersection and hit something really slippery on the road. The car almost went out of control but luckily I let off the gas and recovered. It might have been an oil slick but I could not see what it was when I went through the turn. That's another way that people lose control. Substances that can't be seen that are on the road.

Agreed... too many people live according to "what they can afford" meaning... "I can afford a $300 car payment but not a $320 car payment." In fact, that's true of the majority of Americans. They buy the most expensive home they can afford, and the most expensive car they can afford.

Can't think of why a gazillionaire actor drives a 11 year old used car? Lots of wealthy people drive understated vehicles... Link Link Link

what they dont tell you is those guys typically only drive a handful of times each year. They are instead shuttled around in corporate sponsored limos, jets and helicopters.
