He did post pictures of her in his face, arms waving like a doofus, but no it doesn't prove she hit him. Proof it happened like he said shouldn't really matter in the context of his firing however, since he got canned for the language he used on Twitter, not the situation on the street.

I don't live too far from Times Square and that place is crawling with police, seen and unseen. It's a tourist mecca. Times Square is like 5 blocks and there are hundreds of cops in the vicinity so I am quite sure one of them would've seen something, or at least be alerted to the disturbance. Two people fighting and they would've been taken in for questioning.

You live close to Times Square? You're a brave man. Just walking near there makes me want to kill myself.

Yeah, I don't go near there unless I have to. And, if I'm on the Citibike and heading south, 7th Avenue is the best avenue to go since it's on a steady and consistent downward gradient, unlike 9th Avenue or 5th Avenue. So, I don't mind. At least I'm not walking and having to deal with tourists and it feels like a festive atmosphere.

Also, as I get older I'm starting to appreciate all the money these people bring to the City.

Humm, I can't imagine that being good for the SiriusXM facebook page or email accounts of management.

Inundated with scat and cock pics for the next few months would be my guess.

Anthony is both the reason I liked the O&A show and the reason I stopped listening. He's a very funny guy, but once his political rants that started eating up an hour of the radio show every day (around the 2008 election) I started tuning out.

Still, it sucks that he was fired. I listened to the show for years, and IIRC he used words like 'savage' and 'animal' pretty frequently to describe criminals of all races, especially the ones that committed some kind of violence. Since he was apparently assaulted, I'm not surprised that's how he would refer to the perp.

Anthony Cumia is the only reason I listen to the show. Jim Norton is a funny addition but is not going to be able to replace Anthony. Opie brings nothing to the table and has been dead weight for years. I will be very surprised is Cumia does not get hired back to the show very soon otherwise they are dead in the water.

I've already quit listening to Stern, I guess O&A will be on the chopping block. Now the only reason I even have SiriusXM is for Ron & Fez

It was in the middle of the night, so there was next to no one there.

You obviously didn't see the pictures he was Tweeting before and during the argument, so please stuff it already.

I saw it. I would've believed you if you said 0400-0600. But Times Square is packed all the time until about 0300 in the morning. That is when the clubs and bars start to close. If you want to get a bite to eat you usually head to a 24h McDonalds or Koreatown. But those pics tell me it was most likely earlier than that. Again, I don't think you know what you're talking about.

"Savage violent animal fucks prey on white people. Easy targets. This wise and beautiful woman has no clue how lucky she was. She belted me 10 times. I had a gun"

Truly a mystery why he was fired. I'm sure he's being perfectly honest here too.

That sounds perfectly fine to me for someone that has been assaulted. He was mad, big deal. She is an animal for attacking someone because they are white.

Howard stern used the same language ON AIR but against a white person and wasn't fired.

You would have believed me? You said you saw the pictures, so why don't you believe them? Are you saying he edited the people out, or strategically shot around them before and during?

Either way, the road you are taking this down isn't even remotely relevant to the firing or anything of importance, so I'm done with whatever point your trying to make.

Not sure why you even started arguing with me. I doubt you live in the city and I doubly doubt you've ever been to Times Square. That place is packed at midnight so what do you think it'll look like before? Also, there's a NYPD substation smack dab in the middle of Times Square. And there are many uniform, plainclothes, and other officers in one-way mirrored booths all around the area. And all the shows, restaurants, television stations and entertainment venues keep people in that area. Maybe where you're from the nightlife dies down at 2000. You really ought to STFU if you don't know WTF you're talking about.

All I'll say is, look at the pictures he took, because you obviously didn't. Of course it's still completely irrelevant and pointless even if he was surrounded by millions of onlookers.

It's night. That's all that's relevant to this argument you and I are having. You and I do not know the exact time the incident occured. You believe that just because it's dark there are a lot less people around, therefore, not enough to alert the authorities to what was happening. I have been to this area at various times of the day and I can tell you it is PACKED whether it's 1200 or 0000. This is tourist season and there are many people walking around that area. It would not be deserted as you believe. I really don't understand why you're making this an issue. I am in a position to know more than you about this. Granted, many may have seen what was happening and decided to not report it but, if you have a man and a woman fighting, police in that area would be on it in a hot minute.

Perhaps if she just shot up classroom full of kids and killed a few, she would be just "misunderstood"

I've been listening to Opie & Anthony since their FM days - until the last two years.

They have become bitter old crazy white men.

Opie is more of the ring master. And Anthony was the true funny talent. He did imitations. He made hilarious comments. He was funny. And, when he did make racial comments, they were taken as jokes,... not as the tip of a racist iceberg.

The man is angry. Pissed off. And spitting mad,... at non-whites. He is a legitimate racist. He is even "fascinated" with the Nazis, collecting various pieces of the 3rd Reich and what not. He firmly believes that everything wrong with humanity, is a result of, or by non-whites. And, it is not a joke. It is not an act. It is true hate.

Now, about the situation that occurred:
1) Anthony has been known to take creep pictures of women. He snaps pictures of women who don't know they are being taken photos of, and then comments about them.
2) The picture he took of this woman, was most likely such a picture.
3) The woman, rightly, got pissed off.
4) The woman, wrongly, assaulted Anthony.
5) Times Square is CRAWLING with the mother fucking police. There is even a 'mini' precinct there.
6) Ant, just had to get the cops.

DONE. That is it.

And, he would have had a hilarious story for Monday morning. Instead, he rips into how black people this and black people that.

Fuck him. He should have stuck to the funny man, passive aggressive buffoonery. Instead, he went into full on raging herp-a-derp. Even threatening to have gun down the woman in Times Square,.. where again, there were plenty of cops for him to go to, instead of taking a life.

Thanks for sharing this. If he has a history of doing this then it was only a matter of time before someone clocked him, whether it was a woman or her SO.

So, taking pictures of random people in public is now grounds for being assaulted? Good to know that even if my expectation of privacy doesn't exist, I am still free to assault people who violate it!

I didn't find anything he said racist until he tried to defend his original statements. He didn't call the women anything racist. He called her a savage (uncivilized) and a wise and beautiful woman. She attacked a man who took a picture of her in a public place. That is being an uncivilized wise and beautiful woman, if you ask me.

He is within his right to say nasty things and take pictures of people in public. And he should not be surprised or upset should someone take affront of him taking said pictures or saying nasty things. He can file chargers or sue them if he likes but there are consequences for his actions. If someone was taking pictures of my wife I wouldn't be stupid enough to punch them in the face but I'd follow them to their car or house and get the relevant information to deal with them in a more personal, secluded setting.

So, if someone legally takes a picture of your wife (in a public place like Times Square) you're going to follow them and then assault them in public? I find that incredibly hard to believe, Mr. Internet Tough guy. Did alky hack your account?

He was taking pictures in a public place. The women freaked out and attacked him. She is at fault for acting like a savage wise and beautiful woman. His original twitter comments were perfectly acceptable. The fact that she happen to be black and thus the "omg someone said something bad about a black person, they are racist!" brigade was quick to jump up and whine. The fact that he responded in a racist manner didn't help his case. Had he just said "she, regardless of her color, acted like a savage wise and beautiful woman, and I then called her one on the internet" and left it at that, he'd have a job.

Again, if someone is taking pictures of my wife and ONLY my wife I will deal with him in a personal, intimate setting. I'm no tough guy and he may be within his rights but there are lines you just do not cross and if someone chooses to cross that line then he is 100% responsible for what happens to him. It's bad enough that women have to deal with different types of predators, but those that do it with such swagger and umbrage deserve what comes to them.
