Today is a special day for me: it is the first time in my life when I can look at the sky and actually identify a star: Sirius.

I don't know what percent of people can name at least one or two stars, but I feel proud of my accomplishment. I can already identify Jupiter, Venus, the Sun, and the Moon (duh)...

Next stop: buying a telescope.

There's more than one star there. Looks like you've got a lot to learn, boy.

Yeah, I need to learn tons of names of Stars. Actually, I know a lot of names, but I need to be able to identify them. That's what I'm trying to do.

Uhh? What? I think you are confusing the verbs "to see" and "to identify". It's a common mistake, so don't worry about it.

No, you are the one who is mistaken. When you realize your failure, all will be clear. Everyone knows this.

Oh, I think I get it. I think my post implies that Jupiter, Venus, and the Moon are stars. Is that it?

Yo Pigboy, resize the pic! This isn't the Hitchhiker's Guide here. We don't need a life size replica of the universe.

i can identify at least 5 stars:

Alnitak, Alnilam, and Mintaka (better known as Orion's Belt)
Polaris (better known as The North Star)
Sol (better known as.. THE SUN)

In fact.. if you CAN'T identify these stars at minimum... you have issues.

I would hesitate to guess, besides the fact you CANT.. 99% of the educated population can.

congrats.. you're in the bottom 1% of life.

I'm not counting the Sun, even though it is a Star. I meant stars of the night sky.
