November 8, 2002 - Me and my friends decide to take a trip to Northern California for the long weekend. We take my car, I drive first, we take shifts. On my shift, driving for about 2 hours or so, and for those of you familiar with CA highways, the 5 North. Ok, so I'm driving with traffic, doing the speed they do, since you know, there's hardly any cars driving out there around midnight, so everybody drives fast. I'm thinking I'm cool since I'm just driving with the flow, and low and behold, look in my rear view. POPO! Oh shift! What the hell did I do? Why didn't he stop anybody else? I get pulled over, get ticketed for doing 90 on a 70 zone. And I'm fuming as to why he didn't stop anybody else. So yeah, that's my whack story of getting pulled over and getting my first ticket. Parents are disappointed, I don't know where the hell to go to court since the place I got stopped was in the middle of nowhere just after the Grapevine. Damn this world.

On another note, I'm trying to find technicalities in my ticket. The pig wrote my age wrong, think I can get away with anything on that? Hah, come to think of it, what a n00b, can't even do simple math, let alone realize that it's not 2003. My DOB is 8/3/83, and that fool put down I was 20. HELLLO!? Anyhoo, any legal heads know if I got an argument of any sort on the mistake on the ticket? From one person, I heard that the only information that needs to be correct on the ticket is the license number, speed, and conditions. I want to know what you know...

You're an arrogant little punk, you know that?

BTW, you ever go fishing?

Did you catch all the fish?

You get my second moron of the day award.

If this isn't just a joke to antagonize us you sound like a freaking moron. The cop can't get everyone. He got you. Maybe it's cause you suck, maybe it's cause you were at the wrong place at the wrong time. Or maybe it's because you ticketed for doing 90 on a 70 zone..

I know this: you should own up to your ticket. When you go fishing you don't catch all the fish in the lake. When you go to a club, you don't dance with all the girls in the room. The cop picked you; sure it's unlucky, but you were doing 20 over the limit.

Time to take responsibility for your actions, and stop treating the courts like a preschool. You're there to talk about why you were speeding, not how old you are. Try to get your ticket thrown out because your age was wrong. See where that gets you

.

The cop should have put your age as 4 years old; that's how you're acting.

No time better than the present to start taking responsibility for your own actions. The sooner you do it, the better off you'll be, and the more respect you'll earn from your peers. It doesn't matter what everyone else was doing, you're guilty, and you know you are. Pay the fine and learn the lesson.

I pay my tickets. But I've only gotten a parking ticket in my life. I like to obey traffic laws. :)

There is nothing wrong with fighting a ticket (lawyer, plead not guilty, etc), but this kind of BS is absolutely juvenile.

I heard this in traffic school:

According to the CHP, the real State Lottery is on the freeways of California.
A CHiPpy gets on the freeway, gets into the fast lane, turns on his lights, and he's got a winner every time!

This kind of thread makes me glad I'm not a cop having to listen to whiney rich kids complain about getting caught breaking the law.

If I were the judge in this case, I'd laugh at him and give the most severe sentence by law.

This is also a good reason as to why the age limit for driver's licenses should be raised to 18! Kids aren't responsible enough to wield the kind of freedom and responsibility that is bestowed upon a licensed driver.

Gerboy, are you back?
