The Republicans are more single minded (and in Palin and many of the wingnuts here simple minded) so it's easier for them all to coordinate obstructionism where as the Democrats are all over the idealogical map so it's hard to get all of them to agree on anything

That is true but if the (D)'s are so diverse why are their numbers not significantly more than the (R)'s?

We call it "being of one mind".

Well because conservatives don't subscribe to emotional idiocy. There aren't that many people that do, and the ones that do are democrats, all with their own micro causes. Not to mention, most people over 30 tend to be more conservative, it is called wisdom and growing up.

So half the people are conservative or leaning that way - as a singular group with relatively limited sub factions. The other half or slightly fewer are liberal leaning with thousands of groups and sub factions.

No wonder the Democrats can never get anything done, even when they have the house, senate, and executive.

LOL... Death panels, indoctrination of children, and bowing aren't emotional idiocy? You fail.

FWIW, I've become more socially liberal as I 'grew up'.

You mean you don't long for the days of Ward and June Cleaver?

Well back to the subject of the OP.

If the Dems have any balls (which they don't) at this point, they should scrap this craptabulus HC bill, and through reconcilliation make Medicare available for all (esentially T-care). Othewise, the Dems might just as welll go home.

Although, I know this country would be in even shittier shape had the Rebubs won, I knew that things were so f'd up that whoever got in office was going to be the one to own this nightmare of an economy. I was hoping the Dems might loose, because somehow this whole pile of shit we have now is of course going to be all the Democrats fault now.

Dems need to learn how to manipulate the MSN and cable like the Repubs, because nothing is fact based anymore on the news so they might as well just be honest like Fox and the Repubs and officially syncronize their agenda. Plus, and this is a real important point, we need to learn how to lie like Repubs.

What was ~45% more is a lot... though now its only 42.5% more (still a lot).
But hey whats a little math between political parties. :p

Congress/Representatives/Senators do not listen to the people, they are all corrupt and do what is best for special interests, Nebraska/Louisiana special deals and exemption of unions Cadillac plans show this

Hmmm... I'm 38 and was very conservative growing up. Wish I were smarter.... seriously cut off the flow of babes talking conservative politics in college...Anyway I get more economically and socially liberal as time goes on. Guns and freedoms on private property still very conservative though.

Let's look at the Senate. Sixty Democrats take one position. Forty Republicans take another. You find this to be proof that Republicans are more single minded.

Your statistics teacher must have LOVED you.

Your propaganda teacher must have loved you.

The Republicans are more 'single-minded'. That's why the filibuster in the hands of 40 unprincipled Republicans is a veto for the smallest miniroty in ages to veto everything the majority wants, while the Repubicans got every single major goal passed when the Democrats had more than 40 and even at times a majority, with various Dems strayig over to vote for them.

A single-minded group agreeing to vote 'no' to anything ismore single-minded than a group of 60 who have wildly diverging views and can barely agree on a bill, ahancing it enormously to get any agreement.

But you are good at grabbing one little fact and then using it as a false basis to prove a larger false claim.
Hence your propaganda praise.

After the fact - not prior to the bill being passed.
That provision was not standing up under public scrutiny after exposure.

How many other provisions were in the Senate bill that never got a chance to be exposed?

Only after the bill was released (without a chance for public review as promised by Obama) did the Louisiana and the Union sweetheart deals become exposed.

While the majority of the bill may have already been made available for the public review; the Dems demostrated that they were not willing to allow full disclosure because of backroom deals that were unjustifiable to the American public.
