Single Malt Scotch

I agree with 1,2,and 3. I never venture beyond 3 though. 16yr Glenlevit Nadurra is as smooth as a prom queens thigh. But not as risky.

Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban is my favorite scotch at the moment. Actually, it has been for at least a year.

1) Oban
2) Lagavulin

These two are way above the others mentioned above if you like more of a smoky, peatty taste. Seriously, you've got to try Oban some time 🙂.

I prefer Laphroaig to either of those. Scotch is eleventy billion percent a matter of personal taste, though.

Tried them and don't see the big deal. Barely drink now except for this Milk Stout I discovered. Speaking of which,gGetting a a Milk Stout now.

Bought a bottle of Lagavulin 16yr and a bottle of Glenmorangie's "The Lasanta" 12yr tonight.

I'm sorta just discovering good scotch after having been a bourbon guy for a long time.

I finished a bottle of Glenfiddich 15yr recently which I really enjoyed, and before that a bottle of The Glenlivet 12yr which was also good, but the Lagavulin's smokey, peaty flavor is a delicious and surprising contrast. The Glenmorangie is much lighter and sweeter on the palate, and while it is enjoyable, it isn't anywhere near as distinctive as the Lagavulin or even the Glenfiddich I just finished.

I intend to try a new brand pretty regularly over the next year or so until I can really get a handle on what I like best, and which ones are my favorites.

i've had Lagavulin once, i thought it was pretty interesteing flavor, would like to try it again and explore more tastes similar to it.

Highland Park 18 year is the best I've had so far. But, at over $100 a bottle it's not something most people can keep in their liquor cabinet.
