single guy needs vacation ideas.....

I've been working almost literally since august with only one or two days off here and there and am finally going to have some free time in december
anyway to kinda give u a background...
single guy in my late twenties just kinda looking for a cheap nice place to relax and enjoy myself for about about a week... I like to drink and meet people but I also just am looking forward to chilling out...would prefer somewhere warm and wouldn't mind doing some snorkeling....

so far I've been looking at cancun (mostly riviera maya/tulum/playa del carmen areas), nuevo vallerta, and, jamaica because those seem to be the places with the best airfare deals for that period....but have also considered different locales such as antigua....I haven't really set a budget yet...just looking for a good deal and good times (definitely under two grand...something good and really cheap would be great though)...kinda hard finding good deals for the traveling single.....any ideas for me on hotels or locations I should consider.......

Well I finally booked a place....
I got an unbelievably good deal
I got airfare from Memphis and 7 nites at the Akumal Becah Resort for $585...with all taxes included....
Should be a nice laid back trip, which is exactly what I was looking for...

I can't wait, going on tuesday to get some snorkeling gear and I'm set
 
I am in the same boat. I took up Scuba Diving and have gone on planned dive trips to Florida. Nice thing is the Dive shop I go to makes all the plans, you just pay. If you don't like Scuba Diving there are other groups doing the same thing. I also do the same with a Caving group. I really can't go on vacation by myself. Meeting hotties is even more difficult by yourself.

Yes it is, visit the Beattle bar in Jaco since you are single :evil:.
On a more serious note, you can learn to surf there, visit rainforest canopies, volcanoes, snorkeling, and alot of other things.

PM me if you have questions, i have been there many times, mostly by myself. However I was there mainly to surf.

Basically sometime from the december the 4th through the end of the month...
I was planning on sometime in the first half of the month...because it seems like hotel prices really shoot up right before and around christmas through the new year....

My plans in december are pretty flexible though so I could go at a variety of times..
 
Are you any good at having fun? Then it's Vegas. Otherwise you could always gawk at the babes on South Beach or the Caribbean.
 
some of you should check out china. it may be a communist country, but they've got cheap food, booze and women in abundance. and lots of places to see... yeah.

definitely a change of scene... and interesting.

it is sad if you have to go to hedonism by yourself. but that's because i know someone who couldn't get laid while living in dc, went to hedonism by himself.... and still didn't.

i also had a biology prof back in college that went to it and had a blast... (with his wife)

i've heard from several people that china can really be a blast....
Was in HK and shenzen when I was a teenager been awhile though
