Since when are game strategy guides selling from 60-140 bucks?

Fair enough I suppose, but I don't game to save time, it's usually to waste time. If it's a game where I want to save time and get through as quickly as possible, then it's generally a game I don't want to play. Could just be me though.
I'm finally getting around to playing Half Life 1, which is much more hardcore than current games.

I just could not figure out the trick to the giant tentacles in Blast Pit until I read it, despite the in-game hint from the guard. So I read the details and was able to get on with my (half) life.

Should I have spent a day or two stuck at that one spot? Where's the fun in that? With the guide I got past that point and can keep playing on my own again.

amazon marketplace, not amazon itself.

you could sell a empty water bottle on there for $10,000 if you wanted to. doesn't mean anyone will buy it.

The FF7 Versus guide is the best strategy guide I have ever seen. Last time I looked for it, it was over $50. I have no idea what happened to mine.

Found my FF7 Versus guide last night. Still in great condition actually. Started to flip through it for the first time in what must be over 10 years only now understanding just how great the guide was. Even though it's only around 100 pages it really did lay everything out there for ya well and the guy who authored it had a great sense of humor and an appreciation for not spoiling the plot. Now I don't know if I want to part with it anymore, I need a new bike and this would help pay for one. Decisions... :\:hmm:
