You could just move over to OpenOffice.
Has anyone ever used GnuCash? I primarily use a spread sheet I made in OOo Calc, but I'm looking for something a little more robust.
We've been using GnuCash for a couple of years. I use in in Linux (Debian Lenny). Wife uses it in Windows. Wife is a CPA and absolutely loves GnuCash. I do, too, but not for any reason other than it isn't awful software like Money and Quicken. (Plus, of course, it works in Linux.) I guess GnuCash could be considered overkill for personal finances, but if a moron (in finances at least, if not in everything else) like me can use it, it can't be all that tough.
BTW, people often say they're "doing the budget" when they're "doing the books" using software of this type. If you really want to do a budget (set up a plan for spending / saving) then YNAB might be worth looking at. My wife thinks it's exactly what most people should be using instead of stuff like Quicken and Money. Their approach is kind of odd, but it's designed to instill strict discipline in the way families handle their money.
