A hard one......

How much does Apu charge for a bottle of milk?

Hint: Said with surprising, cheering voice as an answer to a costumer asking: "[number] DOLLARS!"

Some fairly easy ones (average fans will know most of these):

1) How can you tell Patty and Selma apart?

2) What is Sideshow Bob's party affiliation?

3) What was the name of the Simpson's first cat (not the one on now)?

4) Name 4 homosexual characters in the Simpsons

5) Identify the following "gimmicks" that commonly occur when:

[*]Mr. Burns (with Smithers at his side) stumbles upon Homer
[*](after the last season only): Homer talks to Ned Flanders
[*]Somebody takes/steals an item from somebody
[*]Somebody gets caught doing something and makes a run for it

6) What was Lisa's first word?

KidViciou$,

Pretty much correct for the ones you answered. Steel workers isn't acceptable however :)

I'm impressed you got 5a.. the gimmicks are harder to answer because they're not as factual. On the other hand, I can't even remember how many times Burns has forgotten who Homer was.

"screams" for 5d) is also wrong (hint: Futurama also has this gimmick, and Moe is the one who does it most often)

<< 1) How can you tell Patty and Selma apart? >>

The Hair, Patty has the semi-circle - Patty has the circle

<< 2) What is Sideshow Bob's party affiliation? >>

Republican

<< 3) What was the name of the Simpson's first cat (not the one on now)? >>

Snowball

<< 4) Name 4 homosexual characters in the Simpsons >>

Smithers, John, Dunno the res

<< 5) Identify the following "gimmicks" that commonly occur when:

Mr. Burns (with Smithers at his side) stumbles upon Homer
>>

"Smithers, who is this (insert insulting word)?"

<< (after the last season only): Homer talks to Ned Flanders >>

???

<< Somebody takes/steals an item from somebody >>

I dunno about that one, but Homer normally says "yoink!"

<< Somebody gets caught doing something and makes a run for it >>

A lot of people jump out of windows, this used to happen a lot more than it does now. I don't think this is the answer you're looking for though

Yoink! is correct. Lots of people do this one, though -- not just homer (Snake, Marge, Apu, etc.)

Good answer, but not what I was looking for. I think I made it confusing by calling it a gimmick, because I can only recall a couple of times when it happened (happens on Futurama more). Think X-Files episode with Moe. Think Bender.

And who is "John" ?

Another gay character is the guy who owns the 50's store in the mall...

Homer thought Bart was gay...the only other one's I can think of are Rod and Todd

Homer always asks Flanders, "How's Maude?"

BDawg,

Very impressive on all accounts..

Bart isn't really an answer, but Rod and Todd are, and they're the key to the question -- so you don't need Bart (even if he was gay). There's also the guy who acted as Homer's friend in the episode where Homer got hair again, and the main guest character in the episode where Homer thought Bart was gay (when they showed the Steel factory workers :) -- this could be that same guy in the mall, I'm not sure.. he owned an antique store, not sure about 50's).

<< Homer always asks Flanders, "How's Maude?" >>

Wow :Q You didn't need to get as specific as "How's Maude", but the gimmick is that somehow Homer mentions Maude (as if he forgot she were dead as a direct result of him), and Ned gets upset.

Since no one seems to get it (and it's kinda a bad question), I'll answer the only unanswered one myself:

When someone gets caught doing something and needs to make a run for it, they yell "Cheese it!".. like the X-Files episode:

Moe (carrying a whale): Hurry up you guys, we gotta get this back to Seaworld
(sees Scully and Mulder): "Cheese it, the feds!"

or something like that.. like I said, the question was a little vague.

KidViciou$,

Rod and Todd do qualify because in the recent "future" episode, they were shown as adults doing woodwork, and Flanders made the comment to Bart (or somebody) to request they don't "out" them.

Who does one of the 100 puppies remind Mr. Burns of. From the "See My Vest" episode?

Cheese it? I thought they always said something like "Eyuh" or something. It's not really something with the main characters, the lesser ones say it more often. For instance, when they go to Itchy and Scratchy Land and Marge asks about the dangerous axe swinging door, the guy doesn't know the answer to the question so he says "Hey! What's that? Eyuah" You'll know the sound if you saw it, that's the best pronunciation I could come up with :)
