Hi all,
I am back again with my network troubles. I am trying to get my two systems connected via a hub. I have had help from a friend of mine as well. He suggested that I just plug my computer's second nic card into port 1 of the hub and the second computer into port2. My dsl modem is plugged into the onboard controller on my computer.
It seems that I am able to ping the second computer from mine but not my computer from the first. We have eliminated a hardware/cable/card problem. He feels that there is something stopping my computer from being pinged, which is how we did our testing. There is no software firewalls on either computer's nic cards that are used to create the lan.
What should I be looking for? This has him stumped, and he is a pretty good networking guru.
Thanks again
