Wow, I must congratulate some of you for kicking a man while he's down.

Classy, really.

I agree. Could everyone just lay off of Dave for a while?

Agreed. But what can you expect from a bunch of sophmoric pimple farmers who have never had a date, let alone a wife?

Good luck Dave. Hope everything ends up working out for the best.

You'll survive. Just look at OC Limbaugh, this is his third divorce, he's a drug addict and a big fat slob and he's doing just fine.

No kids will make getting over it a lot easier because you won't have to deal with her for the rest of your life in some capacity.

What's your claim to fame that Dave would want to follow your 'advice'? And why are you advertising Dave's email address in your sig?

And on topic, I'm sorry to hear about your marital problems man. I've been married to the same woman for over 13 years now and we've been so close to divorce on several occassions. Luckily we've been albe to reconcile each time and now things are better than they've ever been before.

Is it too late for reconciliation? :(

Geeze, some ppl really are a sorry bunch to kick someone when he's down. Wait till you got sued by the States and slap with jail time/Millions of dollars of fine and lets see how much of a whining crybaby you are then.

and also 50% of the marriages in this country fail. the odds aren't that good.

that all being said: i hope it all works out in the end for you.

Not only do 50% fail but only 1 in 4 of existing marriages are satisfactory to the couples that dwell in them.

I have a cpls counseling appt at 3 p.m. CST. If you wanna pray for us, we NEED it!!

Pre-emptive counseling or are there already issues? My wife and I have spent many nights (all night long) hashing out our problems, sometimes all that's required is honest communication.

LMAO!!! You make my earlier point. I also hear the slogan "it's cheaper to keep her."

I want the marriage that can be, that is supposed to be, that might be....not some 2nd hand lie that looks fine to the public but sux as soon as you're alone with her.

I think it can be attained.

Dave, don't know you that well but divorce sux for everyone. Just be glad you have no children to hear the news or to get embroiled in a custody battle over. I've read that divorces without children are "little league." That was in a book I read years ago.

I don't want one!!!

I wish it was pre-emptive. It's pre-divorce. we're on the brink, have been for years. Too much disagreement, expectations of perfectcion, etc. 15 years worth of crap and two young ones hang in the balance.

I guess that explains this taken from your sig:
Heaven hath no rage like love turned to hate. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Ain't that the friggin truth. Dave, either reconsile or immediately devise a plan to protect yourself. If she's hung up on money then she can go on a spending spree and stick you with the balance. Remember her friends are all telling her "take everything"

Sorry to be so negative, but I haven't seen a divorce where this DIDN'T happen.

Protect yourself, she's a totally different person now.

That was my guess.

I must admit I am a little surprised the mods allow his sig, given that Texmaster was banned for spamming other users. I guess anyone could easily get Dave's e-mail address anyway, but it seems like dirty pool to solicit spam for another user.

I'd feel sorry for you, McOwen... but some people like to bring misfortune down upon themselves, and you're one of them. No offense, just my opinion. I know you get a lot of mileage from other people's pity, but I don't help those who won't help themselves.

That's hardly shocking - it's an ugly, self-absorbed age we live in. Too bad.

I'm not sure why you guys seem to feel obligated to pile on Dave in a time of stress. He is an imperfect person, as are you all, but pointing that out is not helpful to him or anyone else in this situation.

Again, Dave, you have my best wishes.
