Straight from Jimmy Johnson - about 3/4 through it, he says Bellichek was wrong to do it AFTER the league ruled against it. I posted on another forum asking for an article specifically citing when the rule change happened - I don't feel like scouring Google, so I'll post it when I get it. He also said he heard about it 18 years ago - which would be 1989, which really could be either Miami or his first year with the Cowboys. I remember reading somewhere that it was w/ Miami, but I don't remember exactly, which is why I said "I recall him saying he did it in college, but didn't find it useful so he didn't do it in the NFL". He did say they didn't find it very useful, so they only did it a few times.

Amusing that you accuse me of lying and twisting the truth, when you have never said anything unbiased, logical, or useful. You don't even say things to spark debate, you say things as a troll to piss people off. You're a pathetic excuse for a football fan, and perfectly fitting of the stereotype people hate about Boston sports fans. Good work.

Holy sh*t you're dumb, the rule was in place before this year, the only thing he was saying was that the league sent a memo reminding coaches about it it during this offseason. Of course you don't feel like scouring google, BECAUSE YOU CAN'T FIND ANYTHING.

You ARE a lying sack of sh*t, let me explain:

Actually, I recall him saying he did it in college, but didn't find it useful so he didn't do it in the NFL. Also, it wasn't illegal back then. Next case.

You implied that he did it in college. Johnson never said that, and if he did, so what. You implied he didn't do it in the NFL. Except he did and he admitted to it as i have shown you countless time. And you say it wasn't illegal back then, WITHOUT GIVING PROOF.

You have to be one of the most worthless posters here.

As far as the "cheating a little bit" goes... As a NFL fan, I see it as a rule violation not cheating. Thats my standpoint because it has been used for such a long time by many if not most teams.

Prove it! What teams were caught doing this?? What coaches from other teams have admitted to doing this??? Let me help you out, the Patriots were caught TWICE, the other NFL teams were caught NONCE (plural of none?). You're casting dispersions on teams for doing things you don't know they actually did and trying to use that unsubstantiated evidence to prove your own view, which is ridiculous. Please get a clue before you give an opinion.

Why are you trolling? I was actually going to discuss some of what you wrote but its clear that you have no clue as to what you are talking about. If you want to be more civil I will respond.
How am I trolling?? Read my entire first post, I'm against the asterisk but consider what the Patriots did to be intentionally cheating. They were punished, I thought the punishment was weak, that's it. How am *I* trolling when rpkelly is the one saying that alllll these other teams who were never caught did it too, making what the Patriots did nothing of substanial consequence which is BULLSHIT even if other teams did it and were caught, which isn't even the case here.

Honestly I don't care if you respond to me, I am trying my hardest to be civil here.. it's people like Phokus and rpkelly that try to minimized what was done by twisting the truth and alleging teams do things they were never caught doing who are trolling. Yeah, I'm trolling, that's a joke.. how is trying to get a straight, honest answer out of the Patriot defenders trolling? Incredible, debate sure has changed since the year 2000, or are people just getting less and less inept?

You're the one who is spouting crap that simply isn't true:

The 72 Dolphins need to be put to rest.

Why does New England need an asterisk for THIS season? They obviously aren't stealing plays now. If they went undefeated LAST season, Shula might have a point.

Besides, my guess is that pretty much all the teams do that, and the Pats simply were the ones that got caught.

Sorry, I only have 75 posts in 3+ years. I'm still a noob, and that was supposed to be a quote, but I suck at it ;)

Jimmy Johnson said he did it 18 years ago. That could mean Miami, that could mean Dallas. I said that I recall it being Miami, your article posting on a sportingnews blog is hardly proof of anything. The only searching I did to come up with that was on the other forum, on which I posted asking for an article. Your trolling is getting worse and worse with every passing day, if it were someone worth my time I might actually look for it myself.

You also haven't proven that it was illegal back then, nor did Jimmy Johnson say it in any of these interviews you refer to, so maybe YOU'RE the "lying sack of shit"? Did that ever occur to ya? At least Dallas wasn't fined a total of $750k and a 1st round draft pick for cheating like the patriots. Nice work cheating, cheater. A cheater AND a lying sack of shit. Wow, you've got a lot going for you.

Holy sh*t, are you ****ing retarded? Do you know how to read? The article SPECIFICALLY POINTS TO THE COWBOYS DUMBASS.

Let me point this out for you like i would a 4 year old:

For example, FOX's Jimmy Johnson admitted to videotaping coaching signals during his time with the Cowboys, and that he was told about the technique by a Chiefs scout 18 years ago

You're a lying sack of sh*t AND mentally retarded.

Phokus is funny, and not in a "haha look at his hilarious antics" way, more in a "haha wow, he actually THINKS those things! incredible" kind of way.

I'm impressed that you've linked to that sporting news blog posting several times now, I believe I already responded to that, and unlike you I won't repeat myself, you can scroll up and read it for yourself.
