There's a rally in DC on Sept 24th with the topic of "Impeach Bush." If it weren't for that guy, the troops would be at home with their friends and family.

Not really. I view an "Impeach Bush" rally as being very much in support of the troops. Therefore, at least in my Hannity-less world, my post is on topic.

In a Chomsky-ist world, your post is very on-topic; since in Chomsky's world there is only one topic.

Because he and steeplrot want to troll in this thread. It's no big deal, I don't expect them to know any better.

Honestly, I just have to laugh at myself when I hear this out of the mouth of a Bush supporter.

How noble of you to care about the troops. I suppose the majority of servicemen and women who support the mission should just eat sh*t... or, uh... eat spam.

Nope! No Can Do! This is a shameless plug to drum up support for Bush/Cheney's project in Iraq that's intended to grow terrorism.

Support the troops by insisting Rumsfeld be fired immediately. Allies and their offers of assistance might be finally accepted. Every day that Rumsfeld stays at the Pentagon makes the final outcome in Iraq a garanteed trainwreck.

Suipport the troops by nullifying Bolton's recess appointment to the UN. The goal is gain allies and friends, not give them more reasons to avoid participation.

Support the troops by listening to General Helmly. The broken force is just around the corner.

"Move America Forward" could at least chosen a more original name. It is obviously a ripoff of "MoveOn.org".

The war,not troops was always unpopular here at home. It didn't seem to spark the free world either. Have you ever studied the roster of coalition members? It's laughable.

Bush couldn't even coerce Canada in providing troops. Canada still has soldiers in Afghanistan even though we bombed them.

Bush couldn't visit Spain in the run up to the war because 95 percent of Spaniards were vehemently opposed to a war in Iraq. Bush had to meet with Aznar offshore to discuss the war deal. Spain lost 17 soldiers last month in Afghanistan.

Let me know when you figure out how to support the troops without supporting the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Show your support for our troops by voicing your opinion!

This also means showing up for anti-war rallies, anti-Bush rallies!

They are over there fighting for these rights and want us to express ourselves in any type of freedom of speech!

Are they fighting for my right to burn the American flag?

Actually, they are. (until it's banned by a Constitutional amendment or a judge inserts a little activism and rules it illegal).

btw I have been hearing about the organizers calling people and telling them to come out for a "support the troops" rally. When pressed they admit it is nothing more than a Bush bashfest and anti-war rally.

Apparently they must feel their msg wont get many people to show up.

So its legal to burn the flag? Can I go to a Bush speach and in a safe distance where I won't hurt anyone(but can see see me clearly) and start burning the flag? No one will try to stop me?

some people are trying to deny our right to burn the American flag under the guise of patriotism, but they dont realize that protecting that right is what made America so great. many people fought for that right

the house passed an amendment banning flag burning

You can try, and unless it violates some local or state ordinance, or endanger others - you should be fine as far as the law is concerned.

Now back to the support the troops rallies.
