Looks like water to me. Click map.

I highly doubt that is a body of water. Its in the shape of a building. Plus if its just water why is it colored black? the body of water to the east of it you can see its not colored in black.

Too bad these satellite images are at least four years old. It will be awesome if they make a live feed available some day. :D

Amazingly enough, yes. MOST bases around the world have some sort of golf course. Maybe just a range, maybe a world-class golfing experience. Rarely used by young, active-duty folks, they are mostly for the benefit of the retired.

And to the guy saying the pics are 4 years old:
Maybe some, but I saw pics of construction that is going on right now in my home town.

The taxiways go up to the houses. That runway also isn't big enough for anything bigger than a small twin engine anyway.
