Mandatory Drug testing should only be legal by Court Order and as a condition of a Criminal Charge. Even those performing Dangerous/Vital tasks should not be subjected to mandatory testing.

I deal with people on almost a daily basis with no disability other than laziness. Then you have your 18-19 year olds on full disability. Yet my father in law took over three years to get on disability when his back went out after working in mill for 20 years.

Something big around here is being an ass in school. Don't fight and do just enough to where you can't get locked up but you are a pain for the teachers and the rest of the school staff. Eventually they get tired of it but they can't suspend you. They declare you uneducational. I know of on girl who gets $2200 a month, her cable paid for, phone and cell phone, and power/water. Not to mention full healthcare. Power/water included in her rent but yet she still gets another check for that.

Another pet peave is medicare. They don't have to pay a dime. They will call an ambulance to take them to the ER for a cold so they don't have to spend their gas and money to by cold medicine. No, I'm not joking. A $1000 bill for an ambulance and ER trip so save them $5. Why not all it takes is a couple hours of their time but since they don't work they have plenty of it.

But it's not mandatory, it's voluntary. You are requesting the free money. Don't ask for the money and you don't get drug tested. Go get yourself a job and the government won't be drig testing you, unless you work for them of course.

I agree with you on all of the major points but if the people paying the taxes gotta do it then fuck em, so should the people on welfare. I also think Congress, both state and fed, should have to take them so long as we do.

I pick people staying out of my private life. I don't need a nanny state or employer looking after me, I'm an adult. My private life is my own.

I agree with that completely.

With that said, if I got to do it to make the money they should have to do it to get a portion of that money I make. Maybe enough people get pissed enough to help remove unreasonable searches for all of us.

one could argue that some personal liberty is forfeited when they are taken under the wing of a publicly funded welfare program, much like the way that an 18yr old who still lives with their parents is expected to follow the parents rules

Better yet they should be put to work, each according to their abilities similar to the Civil Conservation Corps that President Franklin D. Roosevelt implemented during the Depression, and I would add to that those going over their 26 weeks of unemployment.

Thats always a nice idea until you realise it puts other people out of work. Theres no easy fix for high unemployment levels, and having a small pool of unemployed people is inevitable. I don't see why we have to make their lives miserable though.

The answer to too much government is less government. But with the Democrats and Republicans controlling the government welfare is never going away. Drug testing people who are taking MY tax money to sit on their lazy ass should be mandatory.

They should have to work for their welfare checks, if we have to keep welfare. Make them clean up garbage along the highway or something.

Stealing my tax money to support lazy shits is unconstitutional. I'm all for limited government but if they don't want to get drug tested, they should get a fucking job.

And if positive :

loose welfare $$'s / section 8

but not food-stamps or programs to help them get treatment and or job training programs.

I'm all for testing all Congress and Senate members ... all State / Federal employees as well !
