and how about some UN resolutions to boot:

Have you ever lived in a country that didn't have a large percentage of antisemitic population? I know I haven't.

Here's a statistical analysis of the UN resolutions that have to do with Israel:
{Shite, I'll go find the link on my desktop during lunch}

Anyway, to summarize it... if you assume that the number of UN resolutions against a country is equivalent to the number of crimes it committed, then for UN not to be biased, Israel would have to have committed more than 50% of all crimes against humanity in UN history. There have been more UN resolutions issued against Israel then against all other countries combined including Iraq, Iran, Uganda, Somalia, North Korea, etc...

If given this evidence you still think that UN is unbiased, I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.

WOOT! The AntiSemite Card... I knew it would be played eventually 🙂.. And to answer your question I am Polish, born there. So Yes, I have lived somewhere that didn't have a large percentage of racist people that disliked Isreal (I do not like the term Anti-Semite, I think that term is racist in itself)

So I guess the UN is out to get Israel too right. Typical Israeli mindset is that everyone is out to get them and they are nothing but victims. The UN resolutions were issued for a reason. The UN is made up of every country in the world, and claiming that every country in the UN is racist towards Israel is crap and I don't buy it.

True as long as you choose to be biased and wear blinders.
Israel has treated the Palestinians (who continually support attacking them) much better that the intentions/actions of the Palestinians who created/continued the overall crisis

I think that's a little disingenuous. Israelis are scared. They desire AND deserve peace and security but have never had appropriate leadership (Barak/Peres) that coincided with real Palestinian leadership (anyone other than Arafat).

Arguably, most Palestinians have rarely had much to do with this fight. They have largely been used as a surrogate by Syria and Iran . . . note I did NOT say Iraq. The external "masters" organize and fund attacks on Israel and then Israel retaliates against Palestinians. This "model" of conflict is then conflated with the unlawful occupation of the Palestinian territory, so a few Palestinians (or their foreign enablers) always have a ready-made excuse for their attacks on Israeli civilians.

The US has never been a truly fair arbiter but at least Carter, Clinton, and Bush41 were in the ballpark. Bush43 is a disaster . . . arguably the only things worse than GWB's behavior was Arafat. The jury is arguably out on Sharon since he appears to be playing bad cop/worse cop/good cop over the past three decades.

That suits the type.
Many europeans hate the guts of both Israel and the U.S, Israel is viewed by many europeans (and arabs) as the 51st. state.
Anyway, you ("envy me") are not really contributing to an educated discussion, you are full of hate. It is a very good thing that people like you, which by the way, Iran is filled with, have no access to nuclear weapons.
Israel has never claimed it wants to destroy/erase/annihilate any of its surrounding neighbors, and neither has acted in this direction, you can say exactly the opposite of that regarding Israel's neighbors, namely Iran.

You are full of hate, and you know little to no facts regarding the countries you're advocating. Why won't you go read a little, and come back when you have something smart to say, because up until now, you're nothing but full of sh!t, But that's only my opinion.

You are not very smart sir. I may be strongly against Israel and it's policy, but ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE have I condoned violence of ANY form on them or anyone else.

Claiming Europeans hate jews is a pretty wild statement? Care to share with us how and where you got that? Didn't think so.

I am nothing but full of sh!t? My points at least have articles and links to back them up whereas yours don't.

I was defending the country and its citizens. There is no place in the world for extremists that use violence to acheive their goals.

Well, now I know how far your knowledge of history extends... as well as your views of the present.

There actually isn't a country in Europe where at least 10% of the population doesn't regard themselves as anti-semites. That was the conclusion of a study that came out recently. Germany and Austria were the top 2, with 20-25%, and France was #3.

The anti-semitic card is played because (unfortunately for me personally) it's a true one. You can deny it all you want, but I've experienced it personally.

I thought after WW2 a majority of european countries would have sympathized with the
jewish cause. I mean even in Germany, Holocaust Denial is a crime punishable with jail time.

I sort of noticed that you tend to repeat everything anyone says to you here, only backwards... can't you come up with your own stuff? (don't bother answering with that to me...).
Lets see, where did I get the impression that europeans don't like jews? Well, to begin with I said nothing about jews, I think most of the hate towards Israel has to do with it being a strong ally of the us (U.S), but if you insist, I don't know, how about concentrating 6 million (6,000,000) innocent people in camps an gassing all of them? Is that good enough for first impression?

I want you to scream off the top of your lungs every time something blows up in Israel the same way you do when someone gets shot in the Palestinian territories. The thing is that both of these are good for the extremists. They claim victory when the former happens, and scream genocide when the latter does. You see, they'd be happy if the Israelis started indiscriminantly killing their own people - it would just fill their ranks quicker.

When attacks happen in Israel, it's all over the mainstream media so everyone knows about it. But when something happens in the PA territories it is almost never reported on and that is how and why mainstream media is biased. Because everybody sees how extremists hurt Israel but nobody ever sees what Israel does in return to the PA.

No... I assumed we were discussing current times. Not what happened before any of us were born. After WW2 I had the impression that europeans were more sympathetic with the jewish cause exactly for that reason.

My mistake for using the word jews instead of Israelli's.

Yes, Germany's leadership has been exquisitely respectful of the Jewish people since WWII. That's not to say the German people have followed suit. The neo-nazi movement in germany has gathered strength and momentum, and now has about the same power as the nazi party held before they took power.

As for my sources:

Elmar Braehler and Horst Eberhard Richter, ?Politische Einstellungen in Deutschland. Einstellungen zu Juden, Amerikanern und Arabern?, Results of a representative survey in Spring 2002. Press conference at the Sigmund Freud Institute in Frankfurt/Main, June 14, 2002.
--> Showed that >20% of Germans agreed that Jews are to blame for MOST problems in the world.

There are many more. Just google for "20% anti-semitism germany" or "25% antisemism germany". I Googled it cause I didn't remember where I read it originally.

... You made a wild claim.. You should be providing the sources to back them up not me 🙂

and Europe is made up of more than just Germany.

I don't feel the need to prove my sources to you.

Tell me, if I prove to you that a large percentage (>10%) of European population is openly and aggressively anti-semitic, what will that change with regards to your outlook of the world?

I would think that it wouldn't change anything, thus the effort that it would take for me to dig up those sources is wasted.

Here are a few articles you may enjoy:

Hoax race attack woman sentenced

There are probably many more out there but I don't feel like looking.

I don't think you understand me. I don't need these articles to tell me about the stat of European antisemitism.

I've lived there, and I have countless relatives in many different countries. It's there, it's widespread, and it's strong. One or two highly published hoaxes are neither guaranteed to be true, nor are they convincing. I can quote you a thousand high publicized accounts of how the Holocaust never happened. Would you believe them?

So you still didn't answer my question - is there any proof that you'd like me to present that would change your outlook?

Note that this is the third time I ask you this question, yet you choose to ignore it.

I answer your question above. You prooved your statement by linking to the Department of state report. And no it won't change my outlook because there are proof's out there that counter it, like the 3 articles I provide (all three were in France)

I have also lived in Europe and most of my extended family lives in Poland, Germany, Austria and France. The point is, we aren't going to be convincing each other of switching our beleifs but if we are posting them on a public forum, it always helps by adding sources instead of just saying It happened because I was there and have heard about it. And answer my question of what claims have I made that were untrue please.

So you're saying that a Department Of State report is equivalent in its weight and veracity to small French (!) newspapers. That goes back to my previous point - if quantity equals quality, then denying Holocaust is simply the matter of linking the million webpages that talk about it.

Since you admit that I won't change your mind, regardless of what evidence I present, then what is the point of me arguing with you? I don't experience bliss from reading my own writing or hearing my own voice.
