Should people who eat shark fin soup be flogged?

Because sharks are killed simply for their fins and dumped back into the ocean (a 95% waste rate), and millions of hooks are in the sea waiting to kill them, this should be considered a cruel waste. Not to mention those poor little sharks suffering needlessly for a stupid bowl of soup!

People should be ostracized and perhaps even flogged if found to be eating shark fin soup in my humble opinion. Do you agree, or am I going overboard? :frown:
 
What if we killed and ate the rest of the shark?

I keep seeing shark at the grocery store, but it so expensive. I want to try it.
 
I see someone watched the NatGeo show last night about following the shark...what was her name? Natalie or something like that?

Guilty as charged. Her name was(?) Nicole. Poor little sharkey warkey. 🙁

She dove 3000 feet sometimes and traveled 6000 nautical miles while they tracked her. I would be pissed if she were finned! :|
