They're really annoying imo..

The problem is bigger than "annoying" for several reasons:

1. HTML can be a source of malicious code.

2. The extra load of displaying images slows the forums.

3. There is even more slowing action if the source for the pic is slow.

4. It is not fair to other sites to hit them with "the AnandTech Effect" from every hit caused every time a member views a thread containing the image link.

The size of our forums makes our footprint bigger than Bigfoot. Allowing image links would make us bad Internet neighbors.

Anand has been informed of the problem. Until it is resolved, please help us keep our big, clumsy feet out of other sites bandwidth.

I was saying that because what if someone puts a pic in there of a chick who is showing a lot of skin. And I won't give up on you either, I'm still going to pray for your soul.
