Should I trade in my rarely used PSP for a DS lite or just sell it?

I bought a PSP about a year ago, and have probablly played it for maybe 10 hours. I don't have much time to play it, but do enjoy having a portable game system for long trips and what not. But I never really used it enough to buy enough games to enjoy it, and the games are pretty dissapointing.

I hadn't padi much attention to the DS lite, but just read soem about it. Its bacwards compatiable with my GBA games, thats great. It appears to have some good games. I hear it may have some issues with the case cracking? Any other issues.

I currently have the PSP, with all the crap it came with, 2 extra 32MB memory cards, a 2 GB memory card, Madden 06, Twisted metal, I guess thats it. What do you think that would net me in trade at gamestop, or how much do you think I could sell it for?

I love my DS. but i have been thinking of getting a PSP IF they continue to drop price. Gamestop won't give you much at all.

Post it on FS/FT (look there for what other people are selling theirs for). Buy a used DS/DS Lite. DS kicks ass.

I don't know how much really. I think it would get more use then the PSP, since I can play my GBA games, I have also wanted to go back to a link to the past, I can do that with the DS lite and the GBA version. Plus it appears to have some other good games.

I'm having a blast with the DS. The games are light years ahead of the PSP in the funfactor department.

I will have to see what they are going for, I should be able to recoup the cost of the DS lite, and a couple games at least right?

PSP sucks. I had both a DS and a PSP, and now I have a DS. The PSP is NOT a portable gaming system. It is a small gaming system that has loading times that border on the ludicrous. If you want to play games, get a DS. If you don't just sell the PSP.

I wont claim to be an expert and have thousands of hours on each system, but if you didnt like gaming on a PSP, the DS wont offer you much either.
Unless you have a particular affinity for the Nintendo classic games.

The main thing that annoyed me about the PSP is that it couldn't do homebrew and the latest games, it was one or the other, unless I read wrong. You need 1.51 firmware or newer to homebrew, right? But pretty much the newer games required you to update to the newest firmware. I did love playing my GBA though.

Walmart has a good return policy right? They will take back just about anything, does that apply to games?

Walmarts return policy says video games must be returned unopened, that would only apply to the game though, not the system itself, right?

what happened now is that there are firmware emulators. so now you can play 2.71 games on your 1.5 psp, best of both worlds

Last time I was at Wal-Mart I saw a little sign next to the PSP's that said they must be returned unopened.

I have no idea why its just them, unless a lot of people decide they dont like the things and have been returning them.
In that case it may be store-specific and not Corporate policy.
(The little sign I saw was magic marker on a sheet of paper, not an official Wal-Mart poster like I normally see.)

Seriously? Wow...

I'm about to ebay my v1.5 PSP...it's been gathering dust for the last year or so, I played it for maybe an hour, but i've been holding onto it for Final Fantasy 7 (which from what I heard keeps getting pushed back).

I dunno...I don't *need* the money but there's no point holding onto it till it's worthless.
