Should I sell my gaming rig for a 2013 IMAC 27?

I HIGHLY recommend staying on the PC platform. There's just MUCH more options especially for gaming with the PC platform.

However, if you do decide to get an apple imac 27" then you CAN run windows natively on it since its parts are almost identical to a PC. Well almost that is....
Just be sure you have ALL the proper HW device driver software the the mac and you should be fine..... I have run windows xp pro w/sp3 on my macbook and it runs fine with the exception of the onboard intel wifi not working because I cannot find the proper device driver sw for it....

Do you just want the iMac for looks? The MBP you listed should be good for running app that you would run on the iMac. I would keep what you already have. You're not really going to get a Mac that is as gaming capable as your current gaming PC. All the Macs except for the Mac Pro are essentially laptops in different form factors. If games are really important, maybe a Hackintosh would suit you better. But you cannot match the aesthetics of the 27" iMac, so if thats what you want you will just have to bootcamp it and deal with the performance. You might even simply get used to it, like PC gamers that went to console.

I use a MBA system along side an old thinkpad.

I like the thinkpad more.

There's really no point to OS X IMO. It's all about applications. Once you get those open, you don't even notice the OS unless it's being irritating.
