Walking into work today i passed three people (read bums/crackheads etc.) loitering outside the building. From a distance i'm sure one is a man dressed as a woman. I get closer and realize she's just really ugly. And she's talking to a girl and a guy, of course as i pass they try to get my attention, most likely to bum some money. I didn't really care cause i was late to work so i kept walking. Then the bitch tosses a plastic bottle at me. She has the arms of a heroine addict, so of course she misses. i kick the bottle as i keep walking. I guess she had some thing in it cause she went to pick it up. When she did she pushed me in the back. now this wasn't real push, i mean she only had about enough strenght to lift a crack pipe to her lips. But i was already in a bad mood. I yelled "fvck off you crazy crackhead" or something to that effect, but kept walking since i was late for work already.
I decided to call our security desk since they were loittering on the company building anyway. Cops end up getting called, crazy bitch gets detained. they want to know if i want to press charges. Well i go out there to talk to the cops. Baisically she could go to jail, but i'd have to show up to court. I don't care if people loitter, i just don't think they should harass people.
If she had actually done something to me, hit me with the bottle she threw, or pushed me harder than a 2 year old ethiopian, then i probably would have pressed charges. but i decided not too. now maybe i'm regretting it.
what would you do?

You should give her your house and car. Ungrateful bastard!

jk... I would let it pass. Kicking a dead horse is kinda pointless...

yeah, you'd be helping her out by putting her in jail vs. be on the street.

regret? hah? it was not worthy of your time to put her in jail and you don't get paid to show up in the court.

yeah, id like to say it would discourage pan handlers from harrassing people, but probably not since it's free room and board.

what's she going to give you, her crack pipe? wait - she has a cardboard box in the Hamptons. go for that.

yes, I would've. Just because you're a crack addict doesn't mean it's okay to be pissed off at me too.

but man, does she deserve it, but yes, your time is probably too valuable to waste it on her. She's screwed up anyways, from how you describe it.

This made me laugh :D

I'd have pressed charges, but I'm just an asshole like that and I enjoy seeing stupid people suffer :)

I think my tax dollars could be better spent than keeping her warm and cozy in a cell.

No, I wouldn't press charges. You'd likely have to go to court then...complete waste of time. Best to just let it go.

Pressing charges would have resulted in wasting way too much of your time.

"Yes, your Honor, she pushed me lightly in the back, and I felt truly assaulted. I can't live my life the same anymore ..." Seriously now. Good choice on not pressing.
