No you shouldn't care, but not for the reasons that you're implying. You shouldn't care because you should be busy staying the fvck away from her. Going back the old familiar relationship isn't your only option. You've already said that it was an unfulfilling relationship anyway. I don't see the dilemma here. Advise her to file for child support from the father of the baby and leave her behind with a clear conscience.

Maybe you didn't because in a way you still cared, subconsiously you might have even held onto the hope that you two might get back. It says something, about what she did after your divorce.

Hrmm... Good question. I'm in favor of adoption. But usually the people who adopt are unable of having their own children. Unable to reproduce biologically, their best bet is to adopt another person's child and make it their own by instilling values, culture, etc.

If you're capable of having kids, don't waste your life raising another man's child.

and then it will be too late, she'll think you two are back together, and start hanging out more. Then she'll ask to borrow some money for stuff for the kid, and and if you say no she'll call you an ass for having sex with her while she was "vulnerable", tell you she hates you, find 3 other guys, the come back, forgive you, "apologize" and repeat this whole damn thing...

get out of there. you never loved her in the first place. now she's been porked by a bunch of guys. there's a kid that isn't yours. you will have to support them both entirely, since she'll need to "stay home for the kid." and now you KNOW she is a runner and she doesn't have scruples about who she sleeps with. she'll use you until she finds someone richer, and then she's going to run again, and take child support from YOU while she's at it.

i know it's really scary to face life without that familiarity... but your old life is gone, and getting back with her won't bring it back. you just need some time to process, come to terms with things, and move on. in the meantime, be patient about your new prospects. they will spring up eventually.
