Flats happen but they are still fairly rare. I would not put too much worry into it. Just have a cell phone handy in case something DOES happen.

Or if you don't want to put your car through a long trip get a rental, or cheaper, take the bus, then you have the best of both worlds, you can lay back, and you have plenty of luggage space.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but isn't the whole point of having a car like that to be driving it? I think taking a trip in that area of the country this time of year should actually be enhanced by that car (drop the top and enjoy the sunshine and decent scenery). How big is your amp and guitar? I would think that you could maybe secure the amp in the passenger seat, fit the guitar in the trunk and stick your suitcase in the passenger floorboard.

Yea, like I said earlier, I don't even like the look of my car all too much. I totalled my honda accord, and was out car shopping. I stopped by a Toyota/BMW dealer because I was looking at Camrys. They had a CPO BMW Z4 sitting out front and I asked to test drive it just for fun. It was ALOT of fun, more than I expected, and yea, the performance was amazing and it was a blast. So I bought it.

I want passenger. Preferably this girl I just became friends with. So not only would I not have that room for my stuff, she wouldn't have room for hers. We can put our stuff in someone else's car though since there is a bunch of cars going.

IMO Porsche is the only mainstream carmaker that shares BMW's overriding focus on the driver, and obviously Porsches are far less practical as daily drivers and cost a lot more to buy and maintain. I don't care at all about perceived prestige - if I thought Honda, Mazda or even Hyundai offered a car that was more compelling to drive than a 3 series, while being comparably practical, I'd buy one. They don't.

yep. it never gets old. I thought the novelty of having my z4 would wear off over time. I still get just as excited to drive it now than I did when I first got it. Actually, I enjoy it more now than ever because I know the car better and know how to work it.

Secondly, it's 600 miles...that's not all that far. You don't need to put on your 18s (wow, you have 19s on the car, awesome) or carry a full size spare. Get a can of fix-a-flat and a AAA card and your G2G.
