Sorry this doesn't fit your narrative.

LOL. I love the way you found articles that twist the facts around.

" In 57 percent of the cases, the victims included a current or former intimate partner or family member of the attacker. Half of all victims were women."

In 57% of the cases ... half..." So 57% of the time half of the time there was a women victim. If you understand math you quickly realize that means only about 26% of the victims were actually women, which does fit with a theory that a lot of the killing is gang or criminal related.

The bullshit is whenever this happens in America, it's the fault of easy gun access and it "never happens in any other developed country".

When it actually does happen in another country, they need to scramble and figure out why it's different.

mass shootings no

but 10k+ people are killed in the US every year by guns used in homicides

so you looking at 25+ a day
And some estimates put that at 80% gang in big cities like Chicago. Others say 40% let's just say 40% that means 6k a year are killed by guns. How many of thosr would still be killed? Let's just say half.

So you can restrict the rights of 320 million people to save 3k. Wow, you didn't even ake the top 10 of ways to die.

im glad we ae talking about Chicago gangs in the Munich shooting thread. You guys really know how to stay on topic. The issue and main topic of every thread on the forum is gun control in america.

Attackers still on the run
Witnesses reported attackers shouting "***ing foreigners", wearing jump boots. (This would mean it's right-wingers) neo NAZIs. Not confirmed.

Fact, AT THIS POINT, we don't know whether those are Islamist extremists, so 99% of comments you read on twitter/social media is based on assumptions/ignorance.

Another vague source mentioned there was also an incident/attack at/in a big Munich brewery.

You did not read the article correctly, lol. They were saying that 57% of cases it involved intimate partners. 50% of the victims of ALL mass shootings, not just the mass shootings that involved intimate partners, were women.

They got the facts right, you're the one who tried to twist them around. So now that you know that doesn't fit the narrative of mass shootings being gang related by your standard are you willing to admit it?

German media is notorious for squashing any anti-immigrant sentiment and bans/polices/persecutes those who spread it via facebook, etc. Those sharing it are very brave because they face possible punishment for doing so!

It's not going to be easy to get the full story for a while...

Actually neither did you. I was just going by your quote, which I now see is VERY misleading after reading the article. The full quote:

"In studying shootings that left four or more dead from 2009 to mid-2015, his organization found certain patterns. In only 11 percent of cases did medical, school or legal authorities note signs of mental illness in the gunmen before the attack, the organization said. Domestic violence figured strongly: In 57 percent of the cases, the victims included a current or former intimate partner or family member of the attacker. Half of all victims were women."

So all of those details only applied to shootings with 4+ deaths. If the wire has taught me anything, gangs usually just kill 1-2 people at a time, so I don't see how your quote proves anything at all regarding that, given that it exclusively applies to larger killings.

I also don't understand how domestic violence ends up killing 4+ people, but the article doesn't go into enough detail to explain.

Yes exactly, mass shootings just like the one that just happened in Munich which is the topic of the thread and was in large boldfaced type as the title of my link. If you were misled it's because you were too lazy to click the link I clearly provided you.

Stop trying to backpedal, just say you read it wrong.

I also don't understand how domestic violence ends up killing 4+ people, but the article doesn't go into enough detail to explain.

This might explain why your perception of how shootings like these happen is off, no?

Germany is still way head, actually. Holocaust alone averages out to more than 220 killings a day for the last 75 years.

Of course you will argue that that mass killing doesn't count, because it was enabled by gun control.

That's dumb. I guess we could go back to the Native American slaughter in the US if we wanted to argue irrelevant timelines.

Nobody says it never happens in any other developed country. That is a straw man. Please try to be more careful in the future and maybe you will be able to debate this topic legitimately.

Ohh poor wefty can't make an argument for gun control, or racism, or anti immigration so he just sticks his fingers in his ears and yells.

Maybe you should go over there and hug a few isis members to get them to stop. That'll do it.
This wefty has no desire for more gun control. I'm not even sure what it means when you say I'm upset because I can't make an argument for racism. That doesn't make any sense in this context. Ditto for making an argument for anti-immigration.

Maybe you should stop gargling Trump's nutsack.

Obama: ‘This Type of Mass Violence Does Not Happen in Other Advanced Countries’

http://ktla.com/2015/06/18/obama-th...-does-not-happen-in-other-advanced-countries/

Maybe you should actually read the news.
From your link:

"At some point, we as a country will have to reckon with the fact that this type of mass violence does not happen in other advanced countries. It doesn’t happen in other places with this kind of frequency."

How about you at least try to be honest.

I know, but this is from watching the video with the guy on the parking roof.

This is only (my) guess, but the guy has a genuine Eastern German accent and at some point also says "I am German". Of course this doesn't mean he is not Muslim, many German-born Muslims in Germany.

At some point you hear someone shouting "***g Turks", but it is not 100% clear whether it is the shooter shouting.

It is however very unlikely that a refugee etc. has a Eastern German (Dresden area etc.) accent, now just from listening to the footage I'd say the guy is German, there is no indication whatsoever about that this is Islamist related.

(MY OPINION)

To me it *looks* more like someone snapped, rather than a coordinated terror attack. Of course I can be wrong.

^^^ Hey, if it proves to be that, I'll eat my words. Truth above all.

One hint may be those targeted - were they white or arabic?
