I currently wear asics gel to do everything, cardio and weights.

Ive been reading that running shoes are terrible for squats, OH press, and deadlift, so im going to try to find a shoe for weight days and just have pure weight and pure cardio days.

My foot needs arch support, and the chuck taylors that are supposed to be teh best economical solution wont work for me. The next step up is very expensive. Is there nothing inbetween $45 converse and $120 weightlifting shoes? Would getting an arch support in the converse defeat the purpose?

You really need arch support for all 45 minutes of a work out?

Just get the chucks. They will add 100lbs to your lifts easily. 😉

It's not just running shoes... anything cushioned aren't ideal for squatting. That said, if you can't do Chucks, then try barefoot or with VFFs.

this will be my solution. Im going to bring 2 pair of shoes with me, and thats that.

IDK about that 100lbs though...i can see it being better, but not add 30% strength.
