Shocking story, 15 year old kills his friend over a computer game



<< A teen-ager broke at least five knives Monday night as he stabbed and killed his friend in a dispute about a video game, police said.
Mario Alberto Lopez of 239 N.E. 9th Place repeatedly stabbed Joseph Martins in the chest and the rest of his body, police said. Both boys were 15.
After each blade broke, Lopez went to the kitchen and got another kitchen knife from a cabinet, police said. Investigators later asked Lopez why he used so many knives.

You want to see this stuff go away, ban leaving kids home alone.
 
So you've got a 15 year old derranged kid who was kicked out of school and is in an alternative school, then gets in a fist fight with his friend and continues to sit unsupervised? Sure blame the video game, not the kid and his parents........
 
It's all because they were playing violent video games...

Time to sue Sega...and how bout the maker of the knives for making such crappy knives. It caused the friend more suffering than need be..How bout Smith & Wesson too since there wasn't a gun present to put the friend out of his misery...

I recommend my solution for all the dumbasses...a full frontal lobotomy...
 
Got to love that thread title placing all the blame on a computer game, despite the fact that the story describes that there were many things that were wrong with that boy's life.

FYI, read the article again, he was kicked out of the alternative school also.

That's fvcked up! Where in the hell were the parents? I can see leaving a problem child alone for that long - the stabbing occured around 8:30 pm.
 
Well, at least they were playing a football game. Imagine the press if they had been doing a Quake deathmatch..
 
I can't understand this over a computer GAME, but once my friend was "juggling" my hammers and one fell and took a chunk out of my case. Needless to say, instead of using the hammer to hit him in the face, I threw it through the window.

i get angry sometimes while gaming, but you don't see me stabbing people. worse yet, you don't see me stabbing my computer.

I can't wait until the parents come out and say:

"We was a good kid. He always had a smile on his face and wanted to share his things with everyone. He once saved a kitten and worked at the elderly care facility on the weekends. You would have to know him to really see how he cared about life."

For once I would like to hear a parent say:

"He was disturbed. He had many problems, and while we tried many things, he was bound to get in big trouble sooner or later. You hate to see it go to this level, but honestly in doesn't surprise us."
