So you've got a 15 year old derranged kid who was kicked out of school and is in an alternative school, then gets in a fist fight with his friend and continues to sit unsupervised? Sure blame the video game, not the kid and his parents........

Well duh! It's certainly not the parents fault...perhaps if he had a quality console like the PS2 this
tra-juh-dee would never have happened...

People do some of the stupidest things for the dumbest of reasons and end up ruining lives. Why?!

Why the hell does a 15 yrs old needs supervision? Even if he got kick out of the school.
 
I am guessing they were playing Madden 2001 and his friend intercepted a pass and returned it for a TD and then did a little taunting in the Endzone...

The same reason a 1-14 & 16 & 17 year olds need supervision. They are kids, kids do stupid things, and as a parent your ass is/should be responsible for their actions to at least some extent.

This is a real problem in society. People messing with other people setting them off. You mess with a deranged person's head you are asking for it.

Ok, I might read "supervise" as "babysit". But if your point is if 14-17 yrs old need someone "older" to watch over their every moves, then I'll have to disagree with you.
I don't know how old you are, but I bet when you are that age, your parents advised and hope you take their advises. But if you f*ck up, then I hope they see you are/were old enough at that age to take full responsibilities for your action.
 
Perhaps I am cynical and jaded beyond all reason but I do not find this shocking at all.
Disturbing? Yes. Disgusting? Absolutely.

BTW, if his psychological examination is clean he should be put in prison till 18, then summarily executed.

 
Lopez said the fight started when Martins got angry over a video game and punched Lopez in the mouth. The stabbing happened at about 8:30 p.m. Monday.

Lopez and Martins were students at North Fort Myers High. They had recently been transferred to the Alternative Learning Center in Fort Myers, said school spokesman John Dattola. He said the reasons for the transfers are confidential.

Pasley, however, said both boys were recently expelled from the ALC, and thats why Lopez was depressed.

so seems like my conclusion would be both were troublemakers/wackos. lesson, crazy people shouldn't hang out with other crazy people, one or both will eventually end up dead. 🙁

not all 15 year olds need that much supervision... this kid was special.
 
that's horrible....i get pissed off when i lose a game, but i don't punch people over it, nonetheless stab them!! and i've been playing duke nukem, quake, ut since i was 10
