shows the dems are united and ready for a fight.

on a side note, if ppl showed more affection for their fellow man...the world would be a better place.
what do you expect out of these threads?..."OMG, they touched!...well here i come bush...i just can't handle this!...we'll go watch some football and see some MANLY touching"...sigh

damn it is a repost....oh well don't remember seeing it on here, also how is this homophobic?

I'd say it's pretty nakedly homophobic, and I am the furthest thing from the PC Police. I think you're bright enough to understand that it is, and you're just being obstinate. I started to type an explanation, but it seemed so banal and obvious that it felt like a waste of time.

Wow, a national presidential ticket comfortable enough to actually touch each other in public? HOMOS!!

Of course, Bush having to take his "bestest buddy" DICK with him to testify before the 9/11 commission or Asscough not being able to give a news conference in front of an uncovered Lady Justice without splooging in his boxers or the entire Administration enjoying non-consensual anal sex with the US taxpayers to the tune of a half trillion dollar a year debt, that's all business as usual!

I'm actually open to how both Johns have been behaving. Things seem real friendly between them. I certainly do find their behavior more entertaining than Al Gore's, which was just plain boring. Even Mr. Lieberman has a great personality.

Now, Mr. Greenspan ... that poor man has had his face hidden in the economics books all too often. Doesn't seem to have much of a personality at all.

Just my .02

don't forget that Kerry is a jew. Nothing worse than a gay jew.
/cry
why cant we focus on issues..

oh yea, people don't vote on issues.

PS
that's not a video.

Jesus christ people.

I'm one of the most pro-gay hetero's your gonna run across around here, and *I* think it's funny. It's not homophobic. If that's homophobic, the definition must have been re-written in my sleep.

ho·mo·pho·bi·a ( P ) Pronunciation Key (hm-fb-)
n.
1. Fear of or contempt for lesbians and gay men.
2. Behavior based on such a feeling.

Therefore, homophobic would mean the condition of exhibiting fear or contempt of gays, and behavior resulting form such feelings.

That link that was posted? It's called FUNNY. Look that one up in a dictionary.

Blah blah blah. Maybe it's because I think Bush and Kerry are both asstards, but I thought they're both funny.

Kinda makes you think....scary how something as important as our sense of humor can be tainted by our political alignments.

It does exhibit contempt for homosexuality... maybe you ought to familiarize yourself with the definition of the word contempt (and the word familiarize, too, probably, while you're at it).

I didn't look at the Bush Blair one because I assume it is more of the same type of defamatory crap. Both Kerry and Bush have plenty of legitimate Faults, but pretending that they are gay or that there is something evil or wrong about being gay is just a waste of time, a distraction from their actual faults and an attack on homosexuality.

Mr. Greenspan is over 90 years old so whaddya expect? He was the life of the party in his day, though, well I mean he went to some and if you enjoy brilliant conversation he was good for that. And moreso than everything any President has done, he's kept the economy bumpin, so be grateful that he takes the time for his books.

Implying that Kerry, Edwards, Bush, Blair, or Tinky-winky share beds is in no way derogative or defamatory to gays, nor does it imply anything whatsoever about the moral issue of homosexuality.

It's funny in Kerry's case because here is a man who said he opposes homosexual unions (though thankfully, he's not enough of an Authoritarian to favor an Amendment), and here are some clips of him exhibiting behavior that taken out of context appears to be homosexual. This contradiction serves to be, as they say in the industry, "Humorous."

It's even funnier in Bush's case because he's against homosexuals with every fibre of his being, and thus, anything making him look gay is even funnier.

I have news for you - As much as you'd like in your politically castrated little world to erase race, color, creed, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or sex from all things funny, you're not going to be able to do it.

Just shut up, laugh, and then work to eliminate the actual problems that exist, such as the marginalization of minorities and the witholding of their basic civil rights.

Attacking this video as homophobic does absolutely nothing for the cause, and just makes you look like a humorless plod. Much like Bush and Kerry.

Little humor beyond pratfalls is universal. If you thought it was funny, laugh. If you didn't like it, there is really no need to explain why or complain about it. I didn't even watch all of it because I didn't really find it funny. I have had some good laughs at other things that were far from PC though. Live and let live.

Aww your just pissed because you didn't know what contempt means.

Saying that someone is gay in order to put them down is essentially the same as putting down someone who is gay. This video says "being gay is bad and therefore Kerry and Edwards are bad because they appear to be gay." The only thing about the video that made me laugh was the thought that someone actually spent his time making it. It's also kinda funny that you are naive and immature enough to spend your time defending it. And now with that realization, I'm laughing at myself for even discussing it with a putz like you.

I agree with you there, I saw that a couple people asked why others thought it was homophobic, and decided to say why it is homophobic. I didn't say anything about locking up people for making videos or telling racist jokes though.

To Piano, Don, and conjur....just wanted to see what kind of answers you all would come up with regaring your labeling this as "homophobic"

Personally I agree with Mach when he says....

I guess I could see how overly sensitive people would find it slightly "homophobic" though....

And regarding conjur...

Homophobic REPOST

Um, if there's nothing WRONG with being homosexual and it's a perfectly acceptable lifestyle choice, then why is the suggestion, even in jesting, that Kerry and Edwards in any way shape or form offensive? Hmmm?
