What do they do with the stuff that sanked ?

Who pays for salvage ? the company or insurance ?

depending on where it is, i bet they'd leave it. i imagine the recovery operation for something like that would be astronomical.
If the ship has been abandonned, you can bet there there are 3-4 salvage tugs on their way to attempt to save the ship.

The salvage value would be 10%- nice chunk of change if the tugs can stabilize the ship and get it into a port.

Man, that's like $100 million in cars lost :Q It's kind of scary to see a ship that big rolled over like that! Glad the crewmembers got out safely.

All the new cars that i have seen all have electrical locks to unlock it you have to push a button that?s electrical on the door. So if you would go into water and everything shorts out you can't open your door manually you will have to brake the window now lets say for heavier people that can fit trough windows what to they do??

😀

I would imagine that all new cars have a mechanical method to unlock those doors as well. Think of the lawsuits if the electrical component failed while someone was trapped inside and drowned/burned.

This happened a few years ago too...a boat loaded up with new VWs / Audis sank...

SHIP! SHIP! SHIP! GD it! It's SHIP not a damn boat!!!! GRRRRR!

How about if I called a computer the CPU or the HARD DRIVE? (talking about the entire case) Yeah it's that bad!!!

Hey now, the entire IT staff at a school district I am familiar with calls the whole tower a CPU.

LOL. My entire IT department at a a large Municipal Division calls the tower the CPU and inventories thousands of units as CPUs. I feel your pain, once got on someone's case for calling it the CPU...

I'm curious what the ship was worth itself.

I got one person to finally call it the "computer tower". She asked for the CPU, and I openned up the case, unplugged the cpu fan, unbolted the heatsink, took out the cpu and handed it to her - all with a straight face.

CPU is not an uncommon term to use when talking about the computer itself. I guess it was used more back in the day. But I've heard many people call the computer a CPU (Central Processing Unit), even many IT people.

Now, when people call it the "hard drive" or the "modem", that's a little ignorant. But for her to call it a CPU and you hand her the processor only proved one thing, you're a fvcking douche, and I'm sure she thinks it too. And IT people wonder why everyone else calls them nerds and shuns them......

I hope that ship doesn't have any Camrys. We need the price to be as low as possible...
