Now, from what I read, one of the men in custody has "supposedly" said something bad happened. If true, that does not mean guilt. What if they were having their way, at the light house, mutually, as consenting adults (18, right), then in a moment of emotion, pleasure, or whatever, she fell to the sharks? In that case, maybe they will never find another trace of her. Maybe those men don't want to tell what really happened....afterall, they still have to live on the Island, and if I understand it right, a Judge is one of their Dads. :Q

Yeah, and where were her so-called "friends" to look after her? Not so much as to be a mommy and nag and nag, but to have a buddy system to make sure that no one gets into any dangerous situations...especially when in a foreign country.

I would let a girl friend of mine go off with 3 locals no matter how much she wanted to.

I'm from an area very close to where this girl lives. This is a tragic situation and sure she made some mistakes, but those mistakes were not worth it for her to have to die. Period. A lot of people (especially younger people) have done stupid things and just lucked out. It is easy to sit back and monday morning QB this to death, but in the end she's dead -- the people who are responsible need to be held accountable. Her liability in the situation never should have resulted in her death. Period.

ALTHOUGH: There is a point of contention here, black people can use the n word, but white people can't.
Maybe Opteron is black? Maybe he's (probably) not, given his other comments, but IMO ni*ger is an odd case where it's acceptable for some to use, but not others.
From the context it seems to being used in a racist fashion, and doesn't mean black except as a racist term in commonly accepted society.
