Nope. Her status is that she is leaving on the 30th for an internship in Alaska through the end of June. She's a geology major and there's some sort of big deal thing up there where top students are chosen to go up and take part in glacial studies, etc....

Well she knows I can't turn that off since that's how work contacts me in case a server or something blows up in the middle on the night. I decide to let voice mail take her call and just roll back over for some sleep. My cell phone keeps ringing every minute of so until I finally just turn the damn thing off

You should get a new cellphone that has caller groups... that way you could put her number in the "a-holes" group which has volume set to 0 (or silent ringtone), problem solved 🙂
 
At 1:31 I wake up to the sound of someone pounding on my front door. Knowing it's her I go ahead and call the police and tell them I'm being harassed. I don't answer the door but go to the intercom and ask who it is. She starts screaming and pounding on the door harder, I say "I'm sorry I can't hear you with all that pounding going on. Who is it" That just sets her off even more and so by now I'm angry but laughing my ass off.

It sounds as though you might need a little therapy yourself. The woman is obviously in some sort of crisis that would cause her to behave so foolishly and without regard for her own dignity...and that seems to get your rocks off. Other people's pain is not funny.

I'd rather have a crazy person as a friend than someone who is just a cruel asswipe.

tcsenter, you are way off base here. Waaay off. Shinerburke is the victim here, not the psycho ex. And I DID just call her a psycho, b/c that's what she is. What rational person keeps coming around, at all hours of the night, after they have been repeatedly told, in blunt terms, to fvck off and die? She pounds on his door in the middle of the night, calls his cell phone that she KNOWS is a "work phone" and basically stalks the poor guy.

Maybe you need to go thru this yourself to understand. I have been thru it and there is not a damn thing about it. These kinds of people are embarassing, dangerous and no sympathy should be had for them. The whole idea of spraying her with the garden hose, calling the cops, and even "messing with her" by encouraging her to yell some more is obviously Shinerburke trying to "drive the point home." The poor guy can't even go home to his place w/o being in fear of her showing up and ruining yet another night's sleep. 🙁 He has more than earned the right to mess with her head. 😛

I have to agree with MichaelD. I've been out with more than a few psycho chicks in my time, one even worse than this one. You do your best to get them out of your life yet they keep returning to poison the air you breath. It's much better that Shinerburke makes light of the situation than gets too heavy-handed about it which would inevitably draw him down to her level. This is a painful situation and if he can find a little humor in it then that's better than the alternative which is usually violence.

And BTW, this is not a crazy person that wants to be a friend; this is a psycho b!tch that wants a relationship. A crazy friend you can try to help but a crazy person that wants, worse yet insists, to be in an intimate relationship is another thing.

I did. What does that matter? She didn't get psycho until the whole Kool-Aid incident so I had no idea what was brewing in her crazy little head. This could be a problem though if it turns out that my penis drives women psycho.
