I see people here claiming Sherrod's speech was given 24 yrs ago, and that she was a 'private person' when she gave it.

I'm pretty sure the speech was given in March of this year, and she was an employee of the USDA at that time.

If you look at the video, it's obvious she wasn't 24 yrs younger looking. She looks likes she does today. The video also has a title/label with her name and lists her as a USDA employee.

The case of the white farmer she was discussing took place 24 yrs ago.

Anybody thinking the speech was given 24 yrs ago needs to look at her and wonder why she hasn't aged, or wonder why she looked so old for someone of her age at that time.

They also need to think about video recordings back in 1986 (24 yrs ago was very low-tech) and who the heck would bother to store that video for so long and why they would bother to digitize it etc.

You're missing the point. Truth is a complete defense against a charge of libel or slander. It doesn't matter whether or not FrightFart edited the tape. He posted a public statement that, if false, is defamatory under civil laws of libel and slander. Furthermore, he added the opening four text frames I quoted, earlier:



Those are his own words, not the words of whoever gave him the tape, and the last two lines are his declaratory statement that Ms. Sherrod, in her federally appointed position overseeing over a billion dollars, discriminates against people due to their race.

1. Ms Sherrod was NOT a Federal employee when she spoke the words on the tape.

2. Her words were presented out of context. She was explaining to that NAACP the events and thought process that brought her AWAY FROM her own biases to a more enlightened viewpoint. That has been confirmed by the very white farm owners against whom she was alleged to have discriminated.

FrightFart is responsible for knowing whether his own statements and any materials he presents through his public platform are true or false before he posts them in public. He failed in that responsiblity, and he should be held to account for any harm he caused to Sherrod and anyone else.

I'd hope the alleged ACORN actors he libeled sue his lying ass, as well.

1. The tape was edited and chopped to portray Sherrod, while ACTING IN HER CAPACITY AS A USDA OFFICIAL admitting she acted with racial bias to deny assistance to a white farm owner.

The farm owner and his wife have come forward and stated publicly that this is absolutely false.

2. Sherrod's ENTIRE speech made exactly the opposite point supports exactly the opposite conclusion as I posted previously:

The context for Ms. Sherrod's statements was a narrative of events that brought her to a realization and understanding of her own biases and how she overcame them.

The part of her speech that was quoted out of context referred to events 24 years ago.

Maybe instead of insulting others and making up childish names for them, you should get your own facts straight?

FrightFart doesn't deserve more respect that than childish names and other forms of complete disdain and disrspect... along with a good legal smack down for his malicious lies. Sherrod was not his first victim. FrightFart is a serial offender. :thumbsdown:

I saw her anti-racism statement at the end when I watched it on Breitbart, although his story was actually about the hypocritical reaction of the NAALCP crowd (laughter and applause) when she mentioned blowing him off and not helping him as much as she could have simply because he was white, NOT about Sherrod's racism. It was the right wing talk shows that concentrated on Sherrod.
