I am going to call in sick to work tomorrow, I can't focus on that sort of thing right now.

You can't focus on what sort of thing right now? Your life? I hate to break it to you, but she's not a part of it anymore and focusing on her isn't going to do you any good. In fact, it will do you quite a bit of harm. Find something to fill the void before you get any more self destructive. Yes, not going to work because you can't focus on "that sort of thing" is self destructive.

If you don't want to look at it that way, look at it this way: She left you so don't let her win by syphoning the life out of you. Bust your ass now that she's gone to be totally awesome at work and in your personal life. Next time she sees you, you'll be like "hey, what's up loser-person-who-is-not-as-awesome-as-me?" and she'll be like "omg hi totally-more-awesome-than-me-cuz-I'm-a-terrible-person guy!" and it'll make you feel enormously better.

Amen. Go to work tomorrow and get your mind off things bro.

1) get some alcohol (not old enough? find a friend/random person/bum)
2) drink said alcohol
3) jerk it to some good porn
4) watch a good movie (one of your favorites)
5) watch another good porn...
6) sleep (or more porn, then sleep)

PS: what kind of pussy calls off of work because his GF left him...if you have been going out for a LONG time (over 3 or 4 years) and it was a pretty serrious breakup...i MIGHT could understand 1 day...if it was the wife of a couple years...maybe 2 or 3...wife of long time could be more...but still...not going to work will do nothing...if anything call off work because you will be drinking too much :D

best advice I got when this happened-
self improvment is the best revenge.
get your ass to the gym and lift like there's no tomorrow- run like hell, lose a bunch of weight and look GREAT- then see if she wants to go out for lunch of somthin.
When she shows interest in getting back together, turn her down.
(plus in the process you'll probably meet other girls which happens to be the best way to get your mind off of the one that left =)

I know! Those of us need to form a club or something! We'd be a force to be reckoned with in no time!

Sorry to hear that man! I just got dumped by my 3 year GF, for what appears to be a foreign exchange student. However, the pain is getting less and less every day.

Everyone here seems to recommend drinking a lot. Having gone through this I want to modify the drinking advice a bit. Don't allow yourself to get hangovers! I encourage you to drink but don't get plastered to the point you're hung the next day. Hungover, alone, miserable and heart broken is a really, really bad combination. So yes, drink- it does help- but do it carefully.

There have been no serious replies in this thread for advice toward drinking heavily.

Wait...she dumped you last night. Went out and partied with a bunch of guys....(you know what happened next) and now she's back stringing you along because she has you on a leash.

After the first break-up, the relationship is do0med. There's no reason to get back together.

Hmmmm, not asking for you to go into detail, but did she leave you because of something you did, or is this one of those deals where she thinks the two of you need a break?

Just asking because if you were at fault for the breakup, but she's talking to you now, I'd say there is a chance. If she just dumped you because she wanted something different, there's much less chance this will work out.

You lose. This is going to end very badly, with stalking, 20 voice mails per day, keyed cars, 35 page letters, shredded flowers, restraining orders, ......

Just cut your losses now and end it. Do not talk to her again, do not think you are ever going to get back together, and just move on.

There are more females out there just waiting for you.

She broke up with me because I over reacted to a situation. I agree I over reacted and caused a big fight for nothing but I don't think that is any reason to break up with me. So she was and is really upset but I think I can win her back.

good luck. getting into 1 huge fight is not a reason to break up IMO. sure maybe the thought crossed her mind but when you sit down and think about it logically it's just one of the dumbest reasons to break up.

now if this is the 5th huge fight this week, thats a different story.

Seriously, man, I've been there. Don't do it, you'll never, EVER get together with her again and she'll only use you as her personal slave. Seriously, don't fall for it. She WANTS you to think you guys can get back together, but in reality, she's scrogging someone else.
